What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(U63106 Thirlstane Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U63106 Thirlstane Road from its junction with Percy Walton Close (NSG Ref. 24411145) for a distance of 70 metres in a westerly direction.
Reason: Bridgework maintenance by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
No access for emergency services, the diversion route must be followed.
Alternative route: U63106 Thirlstane Road (part), U63105 College Road, U63103 Priory Road, U63111 Woodshears Road, U63110 Court Road, U63106 Thirlstane Road (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 6 January 2025.
(U61614 Rectory Lane, Madresfield) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U61614 Rectory Lane from its junction with C2102 Madresfield for a distance of 370 metres in a westerly direction.
Reason: Drainage and flood alleviation by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2102 Madresfield, U61615 Madresfield Village, U63347 North End Lane, U61614 Rectory Lane (part) and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 3 January 2025.
(U64212 Weather Lane, Astley Burf) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U64212 Weather Lane from its junction with U64211 Astley Burf to its junction with U64212 Bull Hill.
Reason: To provide safe working for overhead fibre cabling works by BT.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U64212 Bull Hill, B4196 Astley, U64211 Astley, U64211 Astley Burf and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 8 January 2025.
(U63012 King Edwards Road, Malvern Wells) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U63012 King Edwards Road from its junction with U63000 Peachfield Road to its junction with U63001 Fruitlands.
Reason: Replacement gas main by Cadent Gas.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U63001 Fruitlands, U63001 Peachfield Close, U63000 Peachfield Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 29 days (24hrs). Commencing: 2 January 2025.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (Footpath MV-505, Malvern) (Temporary Closure Order) 2024
Order made: To close Footpath MV-505, Malvern for its entire length. The Order has been made due to a housing development
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: Cowleigh Road B4219, footpath MV-502, MV-503, MV-508, MV-507 and Broadlands Drive U63543 in Malvern Parish and vice versa or follow the signed permissive route.
The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months continuing on from 11 December 2024.
