The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.31) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 02 December 2024 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers.
The general effect of the Orders will be:
a) To introduce “at any time” double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
b) To update the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site.
Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 06 December 2024, and of all associated Orders can be inspected by from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the “Access Croydon” Facility, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.
Alternatively, copies of the Orders can be requested via email or post from the Parking Design Team.

Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

Brighton Road Service Roads, Coulsdon
The service road at the rear of Nos. 120 to 134 Brighton Road
Both sides, between its junction with Malcolm Road and the south-western boundary of No. 134 Brighton Road.
The service road between Nos. 134 and 136 Brighton Road
Both sides, between its junction with Brighton Road and the north-western boundary of No. 136 Brighton Road.
The service road running between No. 148 Brighton Road and No. 2 Chipstead Valley Road
Both sides, between its junction with Brighton Road and the north-western boundary of No. 148 Brighton Road.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 02 December 2024 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.
The general effect of the Orders will be:
a) To introduce 7 new, short-term, two-hour maximum stay, first hour free, pay-by-phone parking places in the side streets as described in the Schedule to this Notice with tariffs as specified in that Schedule. The bays will be in operation Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
b) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site.
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 09 December 2024, and of all associated Orders, can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the Enquiry Counter, “Access Croydon” Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.
4. Copies of the Orders may also be obtained from Parking Design, 3rd Floor Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA (email: parking.design@croydon.gov.uk).
5. SCHEDULE – NEW TWO HOUR MAXIMUM STAY (FIRST HOUR FREE) PAY-BY-PHONE BAYS & TARIFF

(c) Midhurst Avenue - One bay adjacent to the flank wall of No. 387 London Road. - Band 1 applies to electric or other vehicles emitting less than 1g/km CO2. The new parking charge equates to 25% discount on the Band 3 charge.
- Band 2 applies to vehicles emitting between 1 and 138g/km CO2. The new parking charge equates to 15% discount on the Band 3 charge.
- Band 3 applies to vehicles emitting more than 138g/km CO2; vehicles registered before March 2001; diesel engine vehicles registered before September 2015; and all payments not made via the pay-by-phone provider.

UPPER BEULAH HILL, UPPER NORWOOD
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate permanent reinstatement works on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Upper Beulah Hill.
Whilst the said works are taking place, Upper Beulah Hill will be closed between its junction with Church Road and the north-western boundary of No. 158 Church Road.
During the works, the diversion routes for traffic will be as detailed below:
- Via Upper Beulah Hill, Beulah Hill, and Church Road.
- Via Church Road, Beulah Hill, and Upper Beulah Hill.
- Via Church Road, Westow Street, Central Hill, Hermitage Road, Beulah Hill, and Upper Beulah Hill.
The Order will come into operation on 07 December 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within two days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
- These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
a) Any vehicle involved in conducting the said work.
b) Any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
ADDISCOMBE GROVE, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate kerb and footway works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements in Addiscombe Grove.
Whilst the works are taking place:
a) Addiscombe Grove will be closed southbound between its junctions with Addiscombe Road and Hazeldean Road.
b) The eastern footway of Addiscombe Grove, including the cycle lane, will be closed between its junction with Addiscombe Road and the northern boundary of the East Croydon United Reformed Church, Addiscombe Grove.
The Order will come into operation on 06 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 25 January 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
Whilst the closure is in place, the alternative routes for motorised vehicular traffic will be via Cherry Orchard Road, Lower Addiscombe Road, Shirley Road, Addiscombe Road, Chepstow Road, and Fairfield Road. The alternative route for cycles will be via Addiscombe Road, Altyre Road, and Hazeldean Road. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.
The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
a) Any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.
b) Any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

DERBY ROAD & LONDON ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate blockage clearance works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements and parking in Derby Road and London Road, Croydon.
Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Derby Road will be closed between its junction with North End and the western boundary of No. 2a Derby Road.
b) Parking will be suspended outside Nos. 61 to 89 and Nos. 68 to 88, London Road, overnight from 10pm to 5am on 06 to 07 January 2025 and from 07 to 08 January 2025.
During the closure, the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be via Parsons Mead and Chatfield Road, or via London Road and Mead Place, as appropriately signed.
