Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 6/1/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 15/2/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.
Roads affected: Fore Street To Pulleys Close, Aveton Gifford
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Road From A379 To Fore Street, A379 Ashford Cross To Aveton Gifford Hill, A379 Fishley To Ashford Cross, A379 Harraton Cross To Fishley, Babland Cross To Harraton Cross, Babland Cross To Heathfield Cross, Heathfield Cross To Hangmans Cross, Hangmans Cross To Chillaton Cross, Chillaton Cross To Greyhill Cross, Greyhill Cross To Idston Cross, Idston Cross To Church Hill & Vice Versa.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: install new sewer connection.

Roads affected: Kiln Lane & Chapel Lane, Stokenham
The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Kiln Lane To Carehouse Cross To Coleridge Cross A379 To Stokenham Cross To Road Past Tradesmans Arms To Windsor Lane To Kiln Lane & Vice Versa.
This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: 2 joint holes in tarmac road & 53m trenching & 7m road crossing in tarmac road for under grounding cables. all residents will have access apart from 1 property (who the works are for) who is aware that the works require to dig across the front of the property. the plan is to dig, lay a duct & back fill sequentially to keep disruption to a minimum. chapel lane is closed at the bottom but open for residents. the top of the hill will be blocked but access will be maintained via the bottom of the road.
