What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M42 Motorway in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull, to enable inspection works to be carried out.

The effect of the order will be to close the exit slip road leading from the northbound carriageway of the M42 at Junction 4.

The work will be carried out over two nights between 21.00 hours and 06.00 hours and is expected to start on Monday 13 January 2025. The Order will come into force on 10 January 2025.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority, ambulance or traffic officer purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the work or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closure.

A diversion route via an alternative junction of the M42 will be signed.
