What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Chapel Hill, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapel Hill, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Trinity Street for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2372267 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pedestrian crossing construction works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Trinity Street, Butler Road, Beridge Road, Chapel Hill and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Fenn Road, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fenn Road, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Colchester Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2025 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001345560 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial reinstatement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Colchester Road, Head Street, Colne Road, Fenn Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Foundry Lane, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Foundry Lane, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Massingham Road to its junction with Hayhouse Road a distance of approximately 255m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th January 2025 for 29 days (in 3 phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001355228 - Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Massingham Drive, High Street, Park Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Park Road, Wickham St. Paul) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Park Road, Wickham St. Paul in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 440m north west of the junction with Sudbury Road for a distance of approximately 340m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th January 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30047859838 -UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Broad Road, Hedingham Road, Bulmer Tye, Sudbury Road - Bulmer Tye - A131, Sudbury Road, Long Gardens, Catley Cross and vice versa (with access only into Park Road, The Green and Church Road).

The Order will come into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Station Road, Earls Colne) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Earls Colne in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Halstead Road to its junction with Atlas Road a distance of approximately 405m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2376467 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Halstead Road, Stonebridge Hill, Parley Beams, Colchester Road, Head Street, Colne Road, Brook Street, Halstead Road, Brook Street, Station Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Factory Lane West, Halstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Factory Lane West, Halstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 50m south east of its junction with Mill Bridge for a distance of approximately 60m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th December 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310771400 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Factory Lane West, Kings Road, Trinity Street, Bridge Street, High Street, Head Street, Colchester Road, Mallows Field, Parsonage Street and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 28th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
