(Various Roads, District of Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.20) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
- To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Harlow as specified in the schedule to this Order.
- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Harlow District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 12th December 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.

To temporarily close that length of Wellington Hill, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 415m south east of its junction with Pynest Green Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th January 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MU288DM18214 – Thames Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Thames Water.
An alternative route is available via Pynest Green Lane, Avey Lane, Road Between Manor Road And Avey Lane, Manor Road and vice versa (with access only into Wellington Hill).
The Order will come into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Woolmongers Lane, Ongar) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Woolmongers Lane, Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 210m north west of its junction with Nine Ashes Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30013549678 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Woolmongers Lane, Nine Ashes Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 12th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Back Lane, Sheering) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Back Lane, Sheering in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Sheering Lower Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th December 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WFPW9R4T – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via The Street, Hatfield Heath Road, Sheering Road, Chelmsford Road, Sawbridgeworth Road, Sheering Lower Road and vice versa (with access only into Back Lane).
The Order came into effect on 28th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(High Street, Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of High Street, Harlow in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 85m north west then north east of its junction with The Granary for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th December 2024 for 1 night (00:01–0900), or where stated on a valid permit (KL736BGK-20-10-151224 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while level crossing defect repair works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via High Street, Roydon Road, Eastwick Road, Fifth Avenue, A414 Between Northern Town Boundary And Burnt Mill Roundabout, Edinburgh Way, Velizy Avenue, Third Avenue, Katherine’s Way, Southern Way, Water Lane, Epping Road Roundabout, Epping Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Low Hill Road, Roydon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Low Hill Road, Roydon in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 35m south west of its junction with Parkfields for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th December 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410250913 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Epping Road, Reeves Lane, Tylers Road, Hamlet Hill, Netherhall Road, Low Hill Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

- To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction in that length of Nazeing Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping from its junction with St Leonards Road for a distance of approximately 1585m in a north westerly direction as cited in “Epping Forest District (Dobbs Weir Road and Nazeing Road, Nazeing) (Weight Restriction) Order 1990”.
- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

- To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction in that length of Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping from its junction with Ninefields to its junction with Farm Hill Road a distance of approximately 710m as cited in “Epping Forest District (Sewardstone Road, Farm Hill Road, Honey Lane and Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2002”.
- To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction in that length of Sewardstone Road, Waltham Abbey in the District of Epping from its junction with Farm Hill Road to its junction with Sun Street a distance of approximately 60m as cited in “Epping Forest District (Sewardstone Road, Farm Hill Road, Honey Lane and Broomstick Hall Road, Waltham Abbey) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2002”.
- A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
