Woburn Road, Heath & Reach - Proposal to Introduce 40 MPH Speed Limit
What is happening?
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE A 40MPH SPEED LIMIT ON WOBURN ROAD, HEATH AND REACH
Reason for proposal: The 40mph speed limit along part of Woburn Road is being proposed to increase road safety by reducing vehicular speeds in collaboration with National Highways who have proposed a nearby speed reduction to 50mph on an adjoining section of the A5.
Effect of the Order: To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following length of road in Heath and Reach:-
- Woburn Road, from the Woburn Road/Sheep Lane/A5 roundabout, extending in a southerly direction for
approximately 92 metres (up to where the existing 40mph speed signs are located).

Any objections must state the grounds on which they are made and must quote unique reference number A00498.

Please note that any comments received will be redacted of personal information and uploaded onto the Central Bedfordshire Council website as part of a report on the scheme a few days before the proposal is discussed at the relevant Traffic Management Meeting, where it will remain in the public domain.
