Wiltshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Witt Road (Part), Winterslow; from its junction with The Common for a distance of approximately 90m in a south easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 09 December 2024 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. B) C332 (Part), Coombe Bissett; from its junction with A354 to its property known as The Battery to enable Openreach to carry out cabling and associated works. Alternative route via C322 (unaffected length) - A354 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 December 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. C) C12 (Part), Bishopstone; from its junction with Flamstone Street for a distance of approximately 360m in a south easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C12 (unaffected length) - C64 - A30 - A36 - A3094 - C320 - C12 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 December 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D) C62 (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its junction with Church Hill for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway patching and associated works. Alternative route via C62 (unaffected length) - C310 - C311 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 December 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 1 day. E) C42 (Part), Wilsford Cum Lake; from outside its property known as School Cottage to outside its property known as Kingfisher Cottage to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out masonry and pothole works. Alternative route via C42 (unaffected length) - Stonehenge Road - Church Street - A345 - High Post Road - C42 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 December 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 1 day. F) UC 892503 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with C299 for a distance of approximately 200m in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway patching and associated works. Alternative route via UC 892502 (unaffected length) - C62 - C299 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 December 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for 1 day. For further information please contact Milestone on behalf of Wiltshire Council on 07743981655. Orders A) to F) have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
