RINGWOOD ROAD TCF PROJECT, POOLE – HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT, WHERE & WHEN:
Suspension of the bus lane:
- Ringwood Road – southbound from its junction with Alderney Road to its junction with Herbert Avenue
Anticipated dates: 6th January to 12th June 2025
WHAT, WHERE & WHEN:
(phased road closures)Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time:
- Ringwood Road between St Clements Road and Lacey Crescent
- Ringwood Road between Lacey Crescent and Sea View Road junction.
Anticipated dates:
22nd January to 24th January 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00 - Ringwood Road between St Clements Road and Sea View Road
- Ringwood Road between Sea View Road junction and Walton Road junction
- Ringwood Road between Walton Road and Balston Road
Anticipated dates: 16th January to 23rd January 2025 from 19:00 to 06:00
(weekend closure)
Anticipated dates: from 19:00 on 24th January until 06:00 on 27th January
Anticipated dates: 30th January to 31st January 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
Anticipated dates: 31st January to 4th February 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
WHAT, WHERE & WHEN: (phased overnight road closures)
Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time:
Ringwood Road between Alderney Roundabout and Mountbatten Roundabout
Anticipated dates: 28th January to 5th February 2025 from 19:00 until 6:00 northbound.
Access to Belben Road will be maintained until 00:00 and bus access to 23:01
Anticipated dates: 7th February to 18th February 2025 from 19:00 to 06:00 southbound. Access to Loewy Crescent will be maintained until 00:00 and then bus access to 23:01

- Ringwood Road between Alderney Roundabout and Portelet Close
- Ringwood Road between Portelet Close and Bedford Road South
Anticipated dates: 8th May to 14th May 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
Anticipated dates: 14th May to 19th May 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
- Ringwood Road between Bedford Road South and Alderney Road
- Ringwood Road between Alderney Avenue and Alderney Hospital Road
Anticipated dates: 19th May to 22nd May 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
Anticipated dates: 22nd May to 29th May 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00

- Ringwood Road between Balston Road and Hunt Road
- Ringwood Road between St Clements Road and Old Wareham Road roundabout
- Old Wareham Road Roundabout (weekend closure)
- Ringwood Road between Old Wareham Road roundabout and Mannings Heath Double Roundabout
Anticipated dates: 4th September to 22nd September 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
Anticipated dates: 15th October to 14th November 2025 from 19:00 to 00:00
Anticipated dates: weekend full closure from 19:00 on 27th March to 06:00 on 30th March 2026
Anticipated dates: 31st March to 14th April 2026 from 19:00 to 00:00
WHY: To facilitate highway improvement works by BCP Council

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
