What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SEVENOAKS AREA
Beechenlea Lane, Swanley, BR8 8DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beechenlea Lane, Swanley, on or after 17th December 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Ivy Cottage.
The alternative route is via Beechenlea Lane, B2173 London Road/High Street, B258 Swanley Lane, Highlands Hill, Swanley Village Road and vice versa.
Chevening Road, Chipstead, TN13 2RZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chevening Road, Chipstead, on or after 20th December 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 14.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed near Lake View.
The alternative route is via Chevening Road, Chevening Cross Road, B2211 Ovenden Road/Chevening Road, A25 Main Road/Westerham Road, Homedean Road and vice versa.
Heaverham Road, Kemsing, TN15 6NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
Because of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heaverham Road, Kemsing, on or after 16th December 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction with Cotman’s Ash Lane.
The alternative route is via Cotmans Ash Lane, Pilgrims Way, The Landway, West End, High Street and vice versa.
Rectory Lane, Brasted, TN16 1NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow excavation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Rectory Lane, Brasted, on or after 16th December 2024 for up to 3 days between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00 or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Coles Lane to near Tannery Cottages.
The alternative route is via A25 High Street, Church Road, Coles Lane and vice versa.
