What is happening?
GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY CLOSURE C180 WATERMOOR ROAD
(CIRENCESTER TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C180 Watermoor Road from its junction with The Avenue to outside the property known as ‘Paternoster House’ for a distance of approximately 83 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for the installation of Overhead Cable works.
The said road is expected to be closed each day between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs from 11th December 2024 until 13th December 2024 only or until the works have been completed, whichever is the later. TEMPORARY CLOSURE C157 LOWER CROFT TO LONDON ROAD
(FAIRFORD TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C157 Lower Croft to London Road, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Lower Croft for a distance of approximately 32 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Openreach.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C72 STAR FARM TO A433 TETBURY ROAD AVENING
(TETBURY UPTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C72 Star Farm to A433 Tetbury Road Avening Road, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Little Fields for a distance of approximately 341 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for Openreach pole replacement works.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400981 FOSS WAY TO SMERRILL FARM KEMBLE ROAD
(KEMBLE & EWEN PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400981 Foss Way to Smerrill Farm Kemble Road, from outside the property known as ‘The Butts’ to its junction with Kemble Road for a distance of approximately 452 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to install a new storm water drain.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily reduce the speed limit as stated on the length of the road as described in the Schedule set out below.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 6th January 2025, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. The Order may permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required, and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th April 2025.
