What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

THANET AREA

 

Clements Road, Ramsgate (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow construction works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of Clements Road, Ramsgate, on or after 2nd January 2025 for up to 395 days or until the works have been completed.

The restriction will be imposed opposite the construction site, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Cottington Road, Minster, CT12 5JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow vegetation clearance to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cottington Road, Minster, on or after 19th December 2024 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cottington Link, A299 Hengist Way, Sandwich Road, Cliffs End Road, Foads Lane, Cottington Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, CT12 5DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow railway inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ebbsfleet Lane North, Ramsgate, on or after 5th January 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the level crossing, between the hours of 01:00 and 04:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Holly Lane & Old Green Road, Margate, CT9 3ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holly Lane & OId Green Road, Margate, on or after 16th December 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

Holly Lane will be closed from number 16 to number 32, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Holly Lane, Northdown Road, Foreland Avenue and vice versa.

Old Green Road will be closed at the junction of Holly Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Green Road, Northumberland Avenue, Northdown Road, Holly Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Mansion Street, Margate, CT9 1EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mansion Street, Margate, on or after 16th December 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside the Northern Belle, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2051 Fort Hill, Fort Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Nash Lane, Margate, CT9 4BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Nash Lane, Margate, on or after 16th December 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Nash Court Road and A254 Ramsgate Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Nash Court Road, A254 Ramsgate Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Prospect Road, Broadstairs, CT10 1JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Prospect Road, Broadstairs, on or after 16th December 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 14 to number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Prospect Road, Thanet Road, Prospect Place and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
