What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14(1)
The council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.
FORE STREET N9 – 4398
Reason for 14(1) Order: Telecoms works
Operational Date and times: Between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours on 5 December 2024 or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To prohibit cyclists from entering or proceeding in the northbound cycle lane on this road, from a point in line with the northern flank wall of No.373 Fore Street to outside the common boundary of Nos.371/369.
BRIMSDOWN AVENUE EN3 – 4399
Reason for 14(1) Order: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 7 December 2024 for 2 days or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close this road from a point in line with the northern flank wall of No.217 to a point in line with the common boundary of Nos.217/219.
- Suspend parking on both sides of this road, from a point in line with the northern flank wall of No.247 to a point in line with the common boundary of Nos.217/219.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
WAKEFIELD ROAD AND NATAL ROAD N11 – 4400
Reason for 14(1) Order: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 9 December 2024 for 5 days or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close Wakefield Road at its junction with Natal Road, for approximately 4 metres;
- Suspend parking on both sides of Natal Road, from a point in line with the southern flank wall of No.56 to outside the common boundary of Nos.76/78.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
CHELMSFORD ROAD N14 – 4401
Reason for 14(1) Order: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 9 December 2024 for 7 days or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To suspend parking on both sides of this road, from a point in line with the western flank wall of No.123 Chelmsford Road/Howard Court to a point in line outside the common boundary of No.137/139.
GREEN LANES N13 – 4402
Reason for 14(1) Order: Gas Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 20 December 2024 for 4 days or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To prohibit cyclists from entering or proceeding in the northbound cycle lane on this road, from a point in line with the southern flank wall of No.252 to a point in line with the northern flank wall of No.281.
GREEN LANES N13 – 4403
Reason for 14(1) Order: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 10 December 2024 for 4 days or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To suspend parking on both sides of this road, from a point in line outside the common boundary of Nos.361/363 to outside the common boundary of Nos.369/371;
- Close this road from a point in line with the southern boundary of Nos.369/371 to outside the common boundary of Nos.375/377.
SWEET BRIAR GROVE N9 – 4404
Reason for 14(1) Order: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 7 December 2024 for 1 day or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close this road from its junction with Chalfont Road to a point in line with the common boundary of Nos.40/42;
- Suspend parking on both sides of this road, from its junction with Chalfont Road to a point in line with the common boundary of Nos.40/42.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
FOTHERINGHAM ROAD EN1 – 4405
Reason for 14(1) Order: Gas Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 20 December 2024 for 5 days or until works are completed.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close this road from a point 30 metres south of its junction with Southbury Road EN1 southwards for 25 Metres;
- Suspend parking on both sides of this road, from a point 30 metres south of the junction with Southbury Road EN1 southwards for 25 Metres.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
GREEN LANES N13 EM61
Reason for 14(2) Order Follow on: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 27 November 2024 for a further 2 days.
The general effect of the Order:
- To prohibit cyclists from entering or proceeding in the northbound cycle lane on this road, from its junction with Woodberry Avenue N21 northwards for a distance of 350 metres.
SHRUBBERY ROAD EN1 EM62
Reason for 14(2) Order Follow on: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 28 November 2024 for a further 1 day.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close this road at its junction with Fore Street N9.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
SOUTHBURY ROAD EN1 EM63
Reason for 14(2) Order Follow on: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 29 November 2024 for a further 1 day.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close this road at its junction with Baird Road EN1.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
ST THOMAS ROAD N14 EM64
Reason for 14(2) Order Follow on: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 28 November 2024 for a further 1 day.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close this road at its junction with Winchmore Hill Road N14.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
CHELMSFORD ROAD N14 EM65
Reason for 14(2) Order Follow on: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 1 December 2024 for a further 1 day.
The general effect of the Order:
- To close this road at its junction with The Green N14.
- While this road is closed, local diversions will be in operation.
ALMA ROAD EN3 EM66
Reason for 14(1) Order: Water Works
Operational Date and times: At any time on 24 December 2024 for a further 16 months.
The general effect of the Order:
- To suspend parking on both sides of this road, from a point in line with the southern flank wall of No.197 Alma Road southwards for a distance of 88 metres.
