Ruxbury Road (D3003) Chertsey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 4 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ruxbury Road (D3003) Chertsey which extends from its junction with St Anns Hill Road (D3003) to the northeastern property boundary line of “The Redwoods”.
Alternative Route – Ruxbury Road (D3003), Almners Road (D3005), Hardwick Lane (C127), Holloway Hill (B386), Guildford Road (A320), Bell Bridge Road (A320), Pyrcroft Road (A320) and Ruxbury Road (D3003) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out water connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 December 2024.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and residents.
D3292 Commercial Road, Staines upon Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 04 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3292 Commercial Road, Staines upon Thames that extends from its junction with B376 Laleham Road, for a distance of 50m. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Commercial Road (D3292) Staines Upon Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out implementation of an Experimental Traffic Order to prohibit entry (except pedal cycles) onto Commercial Road from Laleham Road and/or maintenance and/or highway works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 4pm, within 2 weeks of the 9 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route: – Laleham Road, Worple Road and Commercial Road.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Wormley Lane (D167) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wormley Lane (D167) Godalming as extends from its junction with (A283) Petworth Road to its junction with (C31) Lane End.
Alternative Route: (A283) Petworth Road and Lane End, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 8am and 7pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Blacksmith Lane (D218) Chilworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Blacksmith Lane (D218) Chilworth which extends from its junction with Halfpenny Lane to its junction with Dorking Road, and any parts thereof.
This Order is required to enable Network Plus to carry out new service connection and other associated works, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians, dismounted equestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Alternative Route – Dorking Road, New Road, Kings Road, The Street, Shalford Road, The Quarry, Millbrook, Onslow Street, Farnham Road, Bridge Street, Onslow Street, York Road, Waterden Road, Warren Road, One Tree Hill and Halfpenny Lane, or vice versa.
Hunts Hill Road (D60) Normandy
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hunts Hill Road (D60) Normandy which extends from its junction with Pirbright Road (A324) to its junction with Guildford Road (A323); and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Hunts Hill Road (D60) Normandy (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route – Guildford Road (A323) and Pirbright Road (A324) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow SSEN to carry out electric ducts, cable installation and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 3 months, between 7:30am and 5:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained either side of the closure.
Little Bookham Street (D2525) and Sole Farm Road (D2569) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: (a) Little Bookham Street (D2525) Bookham as extends from its junction with Sole Farm Road to its junction with Lower Road; and (b) Sole Farm Road (D2569) as extends from its junction with Little Bookham Street to a point 40 metres eastward.
Alternative Route: Little Bookham Street, Church Road, Lower Road and Little Bookham Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new major gas works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 months, between the hours of 8am and 5pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for resident and emergency services will be maintained either side of the closure during all phases of works.
Broadford Road (A248) Shalford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Broadford Road (A248) Shalford which extends from its junction with Old Portsmouth Road (A3100) to its junction with Horsham Road (A281); and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Various in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.10) 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route – Old Portsmouth Road (A3100), Farnham Road (A31), Bridge Street (A322), Onslow Street (A322), Mill Brook (A281), Quarry Street (A281), Shalford Road (A281), The Street (A281) and Horsham Road (A281) or the same route in reverse.
The Order is required to allow Sunbelt Rentals to access an overhead structure, tree cutting and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained either side of the closure.
Stonehill Road (D3045) Ottershaw
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stonehill Road (D3045) Ottershaw as extends from its junction with (D3045) Accommodation Road to its junction with the access to the properties known as “Hill Grove”, “Park Cottage”, “Foxfire” and “The Portico”.
Alternative Route – Stonehill Road; Old Chertsey Road; A319 Chertsey Road; Foxhills Road; and Stonehill Road. The Order is required to allow electrical utility and/or repair works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one day between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for the residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Northcroft Road (D3121) Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Northcroft Road (D3121) Englefield Green as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No. 11 and No.13 Northcroft Road to its junction with (D3121) Northcroft Close. Alternative Route – Northcroft Road; Bond Street; A328 St Judes Road; Barley Mow Road; and Northcroft Road.
The Order is required to allow
electrical utility and/or repair works and/or any other associated works to be
carried out by, or on behalf of UK Power Networks within the length of road
described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over twenty-two days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 20 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for the residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Various Roads in Peasmarsh, Farncombe and Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of road specified and described in the schedule to this Notice. Alternative Routes – (1) A3100 Old Portsmouth Road; A248 Broadford Road; A281 Horsham Road/Birtley Road/Rooks Hill/Horsham Road; Barrihurst Lane; Dunsford Road; Godalming Road; The Street; Hascombe Road; Brighton Road; and A3100 Flambard Way/ Bridge Road/Meadrow or this same route in reverse; and (2) Catteshall Road; Cattteshall Lane; and A3100 Flambard Way/Bridge Road/Meadrow or this same route in reverse.
This Order, which will commence on 01 January 2025 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: highway improvement works and/or traffic signals works and/or major highway maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as nighttime works, and the works will not take the full duration of the Order. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in (a) that length of Monument Green (D3878) Weybridge as extend from its junction with (A317) Monument Hill/High Street to its junction with (D3878) Footpath Access to 5 to 12 Monument Green. Alternative Route – Elmgrove Road; Oakdale Road; Portmore Park Rd; Thames Street or this same route in reverse; (b) that length of Monument Hill (A317) Weybridge as extend from its junction at the roundabout with (D3919) Monument Road and (D6972) Access to Superstore from Monument Hill to its junction with (D3878) Monument Green and (A317) High Street; (c) that length of High Street (A317) Weybridge as extend from its junction with (D3878) Monument Green and (A317) Monument Hill to a point in line with the common property boundary between No. 22b and No.22c High Street, Weybridge; and (d) that length of Elmgrove Road (D3880) Weybridge as extend from its junction with (A317) High Street to its junction with (D3880) Holstein Avenue.
Alternative Route for parts (b) to (d) – Monument Road; Grotto Road; Thames Street; Portmore Park Road; A317 Balfour Road; A317 Church street. This Order, which will commence on 01 January 2025 for a period of 18 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: highway improvement works and/or footway widening works and/or major highway maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in two phases, Phase 1 will consist of the closure detailed in part (a) to this Notice and is expected to be carried out over 10 days. Phase 2 will consist of the closures detailed in parts (b) to (d) of this Notice and are expected to be carried out over 3 nights between the hours of 7pm and 6am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works,

Burrows Lane (D227) Gomshall
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Burrows Lane (D227) Gomshall as extends from its junction with (X227) Heathrow to its junction with the level crossing known as “Burrows Lane Level Crossing” and; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Burrows Lane (D227) Gomshall Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Burrows Lane, Hook Lane, Sandy Lane, Shere Heath Road, Park Road, New Road, (A248) Sherbourne, (A25) Shere Road, and Queen Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 16 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 06 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Alexandra Road (D3092) Addlestone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Alexandra Road (D3092) Addlestone as extends from its junction with (B3121) Station Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.4 and No.6 Alexandra Road. This Order is required to facilitate utility water works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 6pm and 6am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 03 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
Guildford Road (D3020) and Guildford Street (D3020) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Guildford Road (D3020) Chertsey that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Chertsey Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres in a south westerly direction; (b) Guildford Street (D3020) Chertsey that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Chertsey Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction.
Alternative Route: Guildford Road, (A320) Bell Bridge Road, (A317) Pyrcroft Road, (A317) Eastworth Road, Victory Road, Station Road, and Guildford Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is to facilitate level crossing on/off track rail maintenance works for, or on behalf of Network Rail.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights, between the hours of 11.50pm and 4.30am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Long Lane (C239) Stanwell
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Long Lane (C239) Stanwell as extends from its junction with (C238Bedfont Road to its junction with (X7119) Clay Lane.
Alternative Route: (a) Bedfont Road, High Street, (B378) Town Lane, (A30) London Road, and Long Lane; and (b) Long Lane, (A30) London Road, (a30) Staines Road, (A30) Great South-West Road, Stanwell Road, and Bedfont Road.
This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Baynards Lane (D185) Horsham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Baynards Lane (D185) Horsham.
Alternative Route: Hogspudding Lane, Knowle Lane, Cooks Hill, (A281) Guildford Road, Lynwick Street, and (B2128) Church Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Network Plus Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Thames Street (C234) and The Avenue (D6237) Sunbury On Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Thames Street (C234) Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction with (T2017) Old Rope Walk to its junction with (C236) French Street; and (b) The Avenue (D6237) Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction with (C234) Thames Street to its junction with (D6239) Saxonbury Avenue.
Alternative Route: (1) Thames Street, Church Street, Green Street, (A308) Staines Road East, and French Street, or this route in reverse; (2) The Avenue, Manor Lane, Green Street, and Thames Street; (3) The Avenue, Manor Lane, and French Street. This Order is required to facilitate renewal of road table ramps, and renewal of road marking works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as night works over six months, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only.
Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route.
