What is happening?
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 - Kirklees Council
(New North Road, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of New North Road, Huddersfield from the slip road off Trinity Street to its junction with Fitzwilliam Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Castlegate, St John’s Road, Blacker Road, Edgerton Road, Trinty Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 2 January 2025 and remain in force until 6 January 2025 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(St Helen’s Gate, Almondbury, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of St Helen’s Gate, Almondbury from its junction with St Helens Field to a point outside the car park before Arkenley Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via St Helen’s Gate, Arkenley Lane, Sharp Lane, Westgate, Northgate and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 23 December 2024 and remain in force for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(White Wells Gardens, Scholes, Holmfirth) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of White Wells Gardens, Scholes from a point outside property no. 16 White Wells Gardens to the end PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
No diversion required, road is a dead end. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 December 2024 and remain in force until 15 December 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(Dodlee Lane, Longwood, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dodlee Lane, Longwood from a point outside property no. 20 Dodlee Lane to its junctions with Royles Head Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Longwood Gate, Church Street, Grove Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 December 2024 and remain in force for approximately one day between 09:30 - 15:30 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(Long Hill Road, Ashbrow, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Long Hill Road, Ashbrow from its junction with Bradley Boulevard, to its junction with Bradford Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Bradley Boulevard, Ashbrow Road, Bradford Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 December 2024 and remain in force for until 15 December 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(Harrison Lane, Meltham, Holmfirth) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Harrison Lane, Meltham at a point outside property no. 25 Harrison Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Harrison Lane, Arborary Lane, Black Lane, Blackmoorfoot Road, Slades Lane, Harrison Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 10 December 2024 and remain in force for until 13 December 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(St Mary’s Crescent, Netherthong, Holmfirth) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of St Mary’s Crescent, Netherthong, from its junction with St Mary’s Avenue to a point outside property no. 2 St Mary’s Crescent PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via St Mary’s Crescent, St Mary’s Road, St Mary’s Rise, St Mary’s Crescent.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday 12 December 2024 and remain in force for approximately one day between 09:30 - 13:30 hours. (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(Lower Quarry Road, Bradley, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) (No 5) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lower Quarry Road, Bradley, from a point outside property no. 5 Lower Quarry Road, to a point outside property no. 19 Lower Quarry Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Sunday 8 December 2024 and remain in force for approximately one day between 09:30 - 15:30 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(New Hey Road, Mount, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of New Hey Road, Mount, from its junction with Raygate to a point outside property no. 533 New Hey Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via New Hey Road, Lindley Moor Road, Halifax Road, Edgerton Road, New North Road, Castlegate, Trinity Street, Westbourne Road, New Hey Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday 9 December 2024 and remain in force for until 11 December 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(Coppice Drive, Pine Court, Rowan Avenue, Netherton, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Coppice Drive, Pine Court, Rowan Avenue, Netherton from their junction with Moor Lane to their junction with Netherton Moor Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Moor Lane, Netherton Moor Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Friday 13 December 2024 08:00 hours and remain in force until 19 December 2024 17:00 hours (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 (Lane Side Lane, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees will revoke the previous Order cited as “Kirklees Council (Lane Side Lane, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024” which was made on 29 November 2024.
Consequently, following the date of the Revocation Order, vehicular traffic in a length of the said road will no longer be prohibited by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road and/or being carried out on or near the road.
