What is happening?
EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The East Sussex (U3128 The Green,
St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
The Green – from the junction with U3124 Charles Road West to the junction with U3129 Dane Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3124 Charles Road West – U3123 Tower Road West – U3129 Dane Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 9 December 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 9 and 20 December 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3038 Vale Road,
St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow UKPN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;
Temporary Road Closure
Vale Road – from the junction with U3038 York Road to the junction with U3038 Eversley Road.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3038 York Road, Beaufort Road, Eversley Road and vice versa.
The Order commences 9 December 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 9 and 13 December 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3214 Saxon Road & U3233 Offa Road, Hastings)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Saxon Road – from the junction with A259 Old London Road to the junction with U3232 Canute Road.
Diversion via A259 Old London Road – C92 Fairlight Road – U3232 Fairlight Avenue, Canute Road and vice versa.
Offa Road – at the junction with U3214 Saxon Road for a distance of 30 metres.
Diversion via A259 Old London Road – C92 Fairlight Road – U3232 Fairlight Avenue – U3233 Offa Road and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The East Sussex (B2182 Cooden Drive/U6547 Richmond Avenue, Bexhill)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Temporary Road Closures
Cooden Drive – from the junction with U6547 Richmond Avenue to the junction with P6621 St Augustines Close.
Diversion via B2182 Cooden Drive, Richmond Road – U6546 South Cliff – B2182 Cooden Drive and vice versa.
Richmond Avenue – at its junction with B2182 Cooden Drive.
Diversion westbound via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff – B2182 Cooden Drive and vice versa and eastbound via U6547 Richmond Avenue – U6546 South Cliff – B2182 Richmond Road, Cooden Drive and vice versa.
A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.
The Order commences 10 December 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 10 and 23 December 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.
