  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham (“the Council”)

    proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the

    Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Disabled Resident Parking Places Orders and the Disabled Persons Permit

    Parking Places Order would be to designate disabled resident parking places for use only by persons

    who are resident within the Beckton, Boleyn, Canning Town North, Custom House, East Ham, East

    Ham South West, Forest Gate North, Green Street North, Little Ilford, Market Street, Monge, Plaistow

    North, Plaistow South, Prince Regent, Stratford, Stratford North East, Stratford South East, Stratford

    South West and Upton Park Controlled Parking Zones, who meet the current criteria for the provision

    of parking places for disabled persons and who have been issued disabled resident parking permits

    for their vehicles. Certain other vehicles may wait in the parking places in certain circumstances,

    e.g., to load or unload goods or pick up or set down passengers. A single parking place would be

    designated at each of the locations listed below. (NOTE – At locations where an ‘overlap’ is also

    stated, the proposed parking place would overlap the frontage of the adjacent property numbers, by

    up to 1 metre unless otherwise mentioned):

Beckton Controlled Parking Zone – No. 10 Alison Close, E6 and No. 123 Winsor Terrace, E6;

No. 12 Compton Avenue, E6 (overlaps No. 10 by 3 metres);

Boleyn Controlled Parking Zone – No. 7 Compton Avenue, E6 (overlaps No. 9 by 1.5 metres) and

No. 12 Compton Avenue, E6 (overlaps No. 10 by 3 metres);

Canning Town North Controlled Parking Zone – No. 25 Clifton Road, E16 and No. 3 Upland Road, E13;

Custom House Controlled Parking Zone – No. 40 Baxter Road, E16;

East Ham Controlled Parking Zone – No. 37 Bedford Road, E6 (overlaps No. 35),

No. 51 Claremont Road, E6, No. 18 Gladstone Avenue, E12 (overlaps No. 20 by 2 metres),

No. 33 Allhallows Road, E6, No. 110 Milton Avenue, E6 (overlaps Nos. 108 and 112) and No.17, Shakespeare Crescent, E12

East Ham South West Controlled Parking Zone – No. 15 Roman Road, E6 (overlaps No. 17);

Forest Gate North Controlled Parking Zone – No. 10 Anna Neagle Close, E7;

Green Street North Controlled Parking Zone – No. 90 Henderson Road, E7 (overlaps

Nos. 88 and 92), No. 10 Grosvenor Road, E7 (overlaps No. 8) and No. 117 Kitchener Road,

E7 (overlaps No. 115);

Little Ilford Controlled Parking Zone – No. 70 Dersingham Avenue, E12 (overlaps Nos. 68 and

72), No. 55 Gainsborough Avenue, E12 (overlaps No. 53 by 2.5 metres), opposite No. 54 Grantham

Road, E12, Grantham Road, (the arm which lies between Blakesley House and Twelve Acre House),

No. 169 Lawrence Avenue, E12 (overlaps No. 167 by 1.8 metres) and No. 106 Sheringham Avenue,

E12 (overlaps No. 104 by 3 metres);

Market Street Controlled Parking Zone – No. 40 Tilbury Road, E6 and No. 163 Wellington Road,

E6 (overlaps No. 161);

Monge Controlled Parking Zone – No. 22 Nigel Road, E7 (overlaps Nos. 20 and 24),

No. 36 Rutland Road, E7 (overlaps No. 38 by 1.8 metres), No. 269 Sherrard Road, E12 (overlaps No.

267), No. 97 South Esk Road, E7 and No. 22 Stafford Road, E7 (overlaps No. 20);

Plaistow North Controlled Parking Zone – No. 4 Kennedy Close, E13 and Swete Street, E13 on the

east side 10 metres south of the junction with High Street E13;

Plaistow South Controlled Parking Zone – No. 7 St. Quintin Road, E13 (overlaps No. 9);

Prince Regent Controlled Parking Zone – Carson Road, E16 adjacent to No. 109 Ravenscroft Road

and No. 76 Cumberland Road, E13;

Stratford Controlled Parking Zone – Nos. 104 to 138 Biggerstaff Road, E15 and Nos. 8 to 15 Gazelle

House, Manbey Park Road, E15;

Stratford North East Controlled Parking Zone – No. 21 Clova Road, E7 (overlaps No. 23 by

3.1 metres);

Stratford South East Controlled Parking Zone – Nos. 14 to 40 Marriott Road, E15 and

Nos. 39 to 55 Arthlingworth Street, E15;

Stratford South West Controlled Parking Zone – No. 144 Bisson Road, E15;

Upton Park Controlled Parking Zone – No. 29 Donald Road, E13 (overlaps No. 31 by

1.2 metres), No. 49 Dorset Road, E7 (overlaps Nos. 47 and 51), No. 107 Dorset Road, E7,

No. 19 Kings Road, E6 (overlaps No. 21), No. 4 Lawrence Road, E13 (overlaps Nos. 2 and 6),

No. 16 Lens Road, E7, No. 160 Plashet Grove, E6, No. 46 Prestbury Road, E7 (overlaps Nos. 44

and 48), No. 12 Upton Park Road, E7 (overlaps Nos. 10 and 14) and No. 34 Upton Park Road,

E7 (overlaps Nos. 32 and 36).

020 3373 6415, or inspected (by prior appointment – please telephone the above number) at Newham

Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, until six weeks after the date on which the Orders are

made or until the proposed Orders are withdrawn, as appropriate.

All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Orders must be made in writing

by 8 January 2025. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. They should

be sent to the Director of Highways, Parking & Transportation, London Borough of Newham,

traffic.orders@newham.gov.uk.

Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any letter or email sent to the
