Bedford Area - Multiple Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Orders
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(ASPLEY END ROAD, SHILLINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Aspley End Road, Shillington approximately 30 metres south of number 52.
This temporary closure is required to enable overhead cable repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 7 January 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Hanscombe End Road, Higham Road, B655 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 7 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(C100 FROM FROXFIELD TO TYRELLS END, EVERSHOLT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of C100 from Froxfield to Tyrells End, Eversholt between Froxfield and Bury End.
This temporary closure is required to enable gully cleaning work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 10 January 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Tyrells End, Potters End, B5704 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 6 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of London Lane, Houghton Conquest between West End and Hawhill Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable stump grinding works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 10 January 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via London Lane, A6, Chapel End Road,
London Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 6 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road, Aspley Guise between Woburn Lane and Larkswood Close.
This temporary closure is required to enable dig and investigation work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 9 to 13 December 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via School Lane, B5704, Woburn Road, Aspley Hill, West Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 9 December 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Wootton Green, Wootton between Wootton Green junction and Cranville.
This temporary closure is required to enable gully cleansing work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11 to 13 December 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. The alternative route for this closure is via Cranfield Road, Fields Road, Woburn Road, Beancroft Road and Cranfield Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 11 December 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
