(Mann Island) (Temporary Suspension of Prohibition of Waiting and Loading & Unloading) (Temporary Parking Places for Vehicles for Loading & Unloading) Order 2025.
Notice is hereby given that the Council intends to make the above-mentioned Order under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 : -
The Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone (Liverpool) Order, 2009, is hereby : -
(1) Suspended in so far as it relates to the existing -
(a) 24 hour no-waiting restriction (Mon-Sun incl.) on Mann Island, both sides, from a point 1.4m northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Georges Dockway, for a distance of 10m in a northeasterly direction; & in a northeasterly direction; &
(b) 24 hour no-loading & unloading restriction (Mon- Sun incl.) on - Mann Island, both sides, from a point 1.4m northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Georges Dockway, for a distance of 10m in a northeasterly direction); &
(2) Varied so as to include the temporary Parking Places for Vehicles for Loading/Unloading (Mon-Sun incl./24 Hours & Max. Period for which vehicles may load/ unload 30 mins) on :
(a) Mann Island, northwest side, from a point 1.4m northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Georges Dockway, for a distance of 10m in a northeasterly direction, and having a width throughout of 4.8m. Vehicles must park wholly within the limits of the bay and parallel to the northwesterly kerbline of Mann Island; &
(b) Mann Island, southeast side, from a point 1.4m northeast of the extended northeast kerbline of Georges Dockway, for a distance of 10m in a northeasterly direction, and having a width throughout of 4.8m. Vehicles must park wholly within the limits of the loading bay and parallel to the southeasterly kerbline of Mann Island.
During the maximum period for which vehicles may load and/or unload goods the driver, or other person in charge of a vehicle using a loading bay, shall not cause such vehicle to wait thereon during the hours of operation other than whilst goods, that are not designed to be carried by hand other than over a very short distance, are being loaded or unloaded from the vehicle.
This Order shall be operative from the 3 January 2025 to 22 May 2026 or for such lesser period of time as dictated by the earlier introduction of a formal Variation to the Controlled Parking Zone Order to incorporate the Parking Places for Vehicles for Loading & Unloading permanently.
