Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 04 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Park Lane (D2628) Ashtead which extends from its junction with Howard Close (X15273) to the northwestern property boundary line of “Woodcote”. 

Alternative Route – Park Lane (D2628), The Street (A24), Grove Road (D2502) and Dene Road (D2337) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 December 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Court Road (D1085) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 4 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Court Road (D1085) Banstead which extends from its junction with Avenue Road (D1085) to its junction with Courtlands Crescent (D1085). 

Alternative Route – Court Road (D1085), Bolters Lane (B2219), High Street (B2217) and Avenue Road (D1085) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 2:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Whyteleafe Road (C227) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 04 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Whyteleafe Road (C227) Caterham which extends from its junction with Essendene Road (D1401) to its junction with Pine Walk (D1401). 

Alternative Route – Whyteleafe Road (C227), High Street (B2030), Town End (B2030) and Burntwood Lane (D1402) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 December 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Blanks Lane (C61) Newdigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 04 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Blanks Lane (C61) Newdigate which extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “Blanks Cottage” to the southwestern property boundary line of “Wellpools Farm” and; (b) Suspend the “Surrey County Council Blanks Lane (C61) Newdigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice. 

Alternative Route – Stan Hill (C61), Norwood Hill Road (C57), Smalls Hill Road (C57), Bunce Common Road (C58), Shellwood Road (C54), Broad Lane (C59) and Partridge Lane (C60) or the same route in reverse. This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 December 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Chipstead Road (D1017) and Wellesford Close (D1017) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: (a) the entire length of Chipstead Road (D1017) Banstead; and (b) that length of Wellesford Close (D1017) as it extends from its junction with Chipstead Road to the boundary with 27 Wellesford Close. 

Alternative Route: Brighton Road, Garratts Road, Shrubland Road, Pound Road and Thornfield Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out gas main replacement works, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 months, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 January 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary, via the signed diversion route.


Crowhurst Lane End (D419) Tandridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crowhurst Lane End (D419) Tandridge as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Cannon Barn Cottage” westwards for a distance of approximately 310 metres. 

Alternative Route – Crowhurst Lane End; Tandridge Lane; Ray Lane; Lingfield Common Road; Haxted Road; Crowhurst Road; Crowhurst Village Road; Crowhurst Lane; and Crowhurst Lane End. The Order is required to allow under track crossing installation works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over three days between the hours of 7am and 7pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for the emergency services will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, all other traffic including residents and cyclists will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Betchworth Road (B2032) Betchworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Betchworth Road (B2032) Betchworth that is crossed by the level crossing and for a distance of 20 metres either side. 

Alternative Routes – (a) Pebble Hill Road, Dorking Road, A217 Brighton Road, Reigate Hill, London Road, A25 Castlefield Road, Church Street, High Street, West Street, Buckland Road, Reigate Road and Station Road; and (b) Station Road, A25 Reigate Road, Buckland Road, West Street, A25 London Road, A217 London Road, Reigate Hill, Brighton Road, Dorking Road, and Pebble Hill Road. 

The Order is required to allow level crossing upgrade works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over three days within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 11 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for the pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and the emergency services will be maintained at all times. 

All other traffic, including residents will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Brightlands Road (D1210) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brightlands Road (D1210) Reigate as extends from its junction with (D1210) Raglan Road to its junction with (D1210) Fairford Close. 

Alternative Route: Brightlands Road, Wray Park Road, Alders Road, and Raglan Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.


Elmore Road (C138) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Elmore Road (C138) Chipstead; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Elmore Road (C138) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. 

Alternative Route: High Road, Coulsdon Lane, Hollymeoak Road, Woodfield Hill, (A23) Brighton Road, and Star Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas service connection works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Holly Lane (B2219) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Holly Lane (B2219) Banstead as extends from its junction with (X9354) Park Farm Drive and for a distance of 24 metres in an easterly direction along Holly Lane. 

Alternative Route: (B2219) Holly Lane, (B2219) Bolters Lane, (A2022) Winkworth Road, (A2022) Croydon Lane, (B278) Carshalton Road, (B278) Rectory Lane, (B2032) Outwood Lane, (B2219) Lower Park Road, and (B2219) Holly Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to carry out utility works for, or on behalf of SES Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried over 3 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 21 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Monkswell Lane (D1162) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Monkswell Lane (D1162) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (C139) Chipstead Lane to its junction with (D1125) Green Lane. 

Alternative Route: Chipstead Lane, (A217) Brighton Road, and Green Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate fibre works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.


Salbrook Road (D564) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Unloading Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of; (a) Salbrook Road (D564) Salfords as extends from its junction with (A23) Bonehurst Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “PasQuill”; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council (Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Loading and Unloading and Revocation) Order 2013” (As Amended) insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice. 

This Temporary Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Milestone Communication. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 15 January 2025. 

This temporary restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force.

(N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).


Birch Avenue (D1426) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Birch Avenue (D1426) Caterham. 

Alternative Route: Heath Road, (B2031) Chaldon Road, and Court Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases, over 29 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.


Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland as extends from its junction with (D412) Mutton Hill and for a distance of 100 metres in a southerly direction along Hollow Lane. 

Alternative Route: (1) Mutton Hill, Station Road, Blackberry Lane, Blackberry Road, Felcourt Road, Lingfield Road, (A22) London Road, (A264) Moat Road, (A264) Cranston Road, (A264) Holtye Road, Shepherdsgrove Lane, and Hollow Lane; (2) Hollow Lane, Shephersgrove Road, (A264) Holtye Road, (A264) Blackwell Road, (A264) Cranston Road, (A264) Moat Road, (A22) London Road, (A22) Park Road, (A22) Beeching Way, (A22) Station Road, (A22) London Road, Lingfield Road, Felcourt Road, Blackberry Road, Blackberry Lane, Station Road, and Mutton Hill.

This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of TGTM Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Kent Hatch Road (B269) and Golf House Road (D431) Limpsfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Kent Hatch Road (B269) Limpsfield as extends from its junction with (D429) New Road to its junction with (D436) Ridlands Lane; (b) the entire length of Golf House Road (D431) Limpsfield. 

Alternative Route: (B269) Kent Hatch Road, (B2026) Hosey Common Road, (B2026) Hosey Hill, (A25) Vicarage Hill, (A25) High Street, and (A25) Westerham Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate water mains connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Stafford Road (D1403) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Stafford Road (D1403) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1402) Burntwood Lane to its junction with (D1403) Milner Approach. 

Alternative Route: Stafford Road, (A22) Waspes Lodge Roundabout, (B2208) Croydon Road, (B2208) The Square, and (B2030) Station Avenue, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate drainage connection works for, or on behalf of Cast & Teller Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 33 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday only, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.


Tupwood Lane (D1434) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of Tupwood Lane (D1434) Caterham as extends from its junction with (A22) Godstone Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Treetops”. 

Alternative Route: (1) Tupwood Lane, (B2030) Godstone Road, (A22) Godstone Road, (A22) Godstone Hill, (A22) Godstone Interchange, (A22) Godstone Hill, and (A22) Godstone Road; (2) (A22) Godstone Road, (B2030) Godstone Road, and Tupwood Lane. 

This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of J7 G Traffic Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Whitewood Lane (C71) South Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Whitewood Lane (C71) South Godstone as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Stubbs Grove Farm” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Pams Cottage”. 

Alternative Route: Whitewood Lane, Byers Lane, (A22) Eastbourne Road, (B2028) West Park Road, Bones Lane, Croydon Barn Lane, Church Road, and Whitewood Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 7.30am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.


High Road (C136) and Doghurst Lane (D1083) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) High Road (C136) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1083) Doghurst Lane to its junction with (C138) Elmore Road; and (b) Doghurst Lane (D1083) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (C136) High Road to its junction with (C137) Hazelwood Lane from travelling in any direction other than westwards. 

Alternative Route: Coulsdon Lane, Hollymeoak Road, (A23) Brighton Road, Star Lane, Hogcross Lane, and High Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate surface dressing/patching, and major maintenance works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and prohibition will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. 

All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
