What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C672 VALLEY WASH, CHIMNEY STREET AND BARNARDISTON ROAD, HUNDON

Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the following roads:

  • C672 Valley Wash, Hundon from the junction with Steeplechase for 110 metres south eastbound.

  • C672 Chimney Street, Hundon from Steeplechase for 120 metres south westbound.

  • C672 Barnardiston Road, Hundon from Chimney Street for 50 metres north westbound.

This is to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 06/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2511 BRUISYARD ROAD, RENDHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2511 Bruisyard Road, Rendham from the junction with Chapel Road for 120 metres eastbound to facilitate electrical cables and road crossing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1119, Bruisyard Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 13/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3029 KINGSGATE DRIVE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3029 Kingsgate Drive, Ipswich from Colchester Service Road to Lancing Avenue to facilitate new crossing points. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1214, Sidegate Lane, Whitby Road, Brunswick Road, Kingsgate Drive and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 06/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U2535 TENNYSON ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2535 Tennyson Road, Bury St Edmunds to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • The diversion route will be Prince Charles Avenue, Derwent Road, Lake Avenue, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 04/12/2024 from 8am - 6pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C769 THE BATTLES, ROUGHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C769 The Battles, Rougham to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • The diversion route will be Rougham Tower Avenue, Rougham, Lady Miriam Way, Bury St Edmunds, Mount Road, Rougham, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 8pm on 02/12/2024 - 6am on 03/12/2024. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C561 CHURCH ROAD, TOSTOCK

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C561 Church Road, Tostock to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • The diversion route will be Norton Road, Hollow Lane, Great Green, the road from the A1088 to Thurston, the A1088, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 07/12/2024 from 8pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1122 ALDEBURGH ROAD AND HIGH STREET, LEISTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

  • B1122 Aldeburgh Road, Leiston from Red House Lane to Kings Road.

  • B1122 High Street, Leiston from Sizewell Road to Kings Road.

This is to facilitate a new zebra crossing and carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • The diversion route will be the B1122, the B1069, the B1353, the B1122, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 17/12/2024. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C662 DUNSTALL GREEN, OUSDEN

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C662 Dunstall Green, Ousden from 760 metres north of Front Street for 50 metres northbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • The diversion route will be Front Street, the B1085, Denham Road, Dalham Road, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/12/2024 - 13/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

  • Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • The diversion route will be the A1071, the A134, the B1068, Brick Kiln Hill, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 04/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6820 Mill Road, Haverhill from the junction with Chauntry Road to the junction with Recreation Road to facilitate ducting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • The diversion route will be Recreation Road, Clements Lane, Camps Road, Mill Road, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 11/12/2024 - 18/12/2024 from 10am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing:

  • C727 Duke Street, Hadleigh from Holbecks Lane to Market Place.

  • C727 Layham Road, Hadleigh from Holbecks Lane to Potts Lane.

This is to facilitate bridge repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access: Open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • Diversion route: B1070, A1071, Rands Road, Overbury Hall Road, Potts Lane, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  • 02/12/2024 - 06/12/2024

  • 08/12/2024 - 13/12/2024

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

  • C904 Yarmouth Road, Lound from the junction with Border Lane for 30 metres northbound and 30 metres westbound.

  • C902 Border Lane, Lound from the junction with Yarmouth Road for 30 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate pole and cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access: Open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • Diversion route: The Street, Flixton Road, the B1074, Beccles Road, Brownston Lane, Yarmouth Road, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/12/2024 from 9:30am - 3:30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C663 Station Road, Little Saxham from 194 metres south of the junction with the road from the A14 to the C692 for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a railway bridge inspection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

  • Access: Open for pedestrians and cyclists.

  • Diversion route: The road from the A14 to the C629, South Street, the A14 from the junction with the B1506 to the junction with the A1302/B1106 E, the A14, the A1302, Westley Road, Bury Road, and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 8pm on 11/12/2024 - 6am on 12/12/2024, but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
