Suffolk, Temporary Speed Restriction & Road Closures Due To Maintenance Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY 40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A143 HAVERHILL ROAD, LITTLE WRATTING
Suffolk County Council has made an order for a temporary 40 mph speed restriction on the A143 Haverhill Road. Little Wratting from Jessimine Cottage to the sub-station facilitate investigation of cable route. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
It is intended that this measure will operate from 30/11/2024 -01/12/2024 and 07/12/2024 - 08/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE 113416 BYNG HALL ROAD, UFFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U3416 Byng Hall Road, Ufford from Hillingdon for 75 metres northbound to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Java Lodge Road, the B1438, Yarmouth Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 30/11/2024 -01/12/2024 and 07/12/2024 - 08/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1152 WILFORD BRIDGE ROAD, MELTON
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1152 Wilford Bridge Road, Melton from Melton Station for 40 metres eastbound to facilitate a track geometry correction. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Wilford Bridge Road, the A12. the B1078, Woodbridge Road, the A1152, Wilford Bridge Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 11pm on 11/12/2024 - 6.30am on 12/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
