The Isle of Wight Council's Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight (Cycle track from Shanklin to Wroxall, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Prohibition of Cyclists and Pedestrians) Order No 4 2024

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for three shifts between Monday 09 December 2024, and Wednesday 11 December 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along Cycle track from Shanklin to Wroxall, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during cycleway trimming works.

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2024

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for six shifts, between Monday 09 December 2024, and Tuesday 17 December 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Ashey Road, Ryde, from its junction with Ryde Footpath 33 and Its junction with Brading Down Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during Road Markings.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1500 hours until 2030 hours on Saturday 07 December 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along a) Church Litten between its junctions with Marks and Spencer - Access Road and South Street; b) South Street between its junctions with Town Lane and St James Street; c) St James Street between its junctions with South Street and High Street; d) Pyle Street between its junctions with St James Street and High Street; e) High Street between its junctions with Pyle Street and Quay Street; f) Quay Street for its entire length; g) Town Lane for its entire length. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 02 December 2024, and Wednesday 04 December 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Main Road, Brighstone, from its junction with Rectory Lane, and its junction with St Marys Court. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during drainage CCTV survey works.

The Isle of Wight Council (Carter Avenue, Shanklin, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary one-way restriction) Order No 2 2024

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1700 hours on Friday 22 November 2024 until 1700 hours on Friday 20 December 2024, or when the works has been completed, the restriction will be in place along Cater Avenue, Shanklin from its junction with Landguard Road and Its junction with Brook Road. The restriction is required as for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 29 November 2024 and Friday 3 January 2025 the following roads will be closed at all hours for a period of approximately 2 weeks within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable footway resurfacing works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. The closure is required for safety during Totland's Christmas Market and Lantern Parade. The diversion will be signposted locally.
