Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Bridgewater St, Lymm (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Bridgewater St from its jct. with Eagle Brow to its jct. with Lydgate Ln. The Order will be effective from 15th January 2025. The closure is for a period of 2 days. The alternative route will be via Eagle Brow, Brookfield Rd, Whitbarrow Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out remedial works to defective reinstatements.

Twiss Green Ln, Culcheth (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Twiss Green Ln from its jct. with Jibcroft Brook Ln to its jct. with Petersfield Gardens. The Order will be effective from 20th January 2025. The closure is for a period of 3 days. The alternative route will be via Common Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to install a new water connection.

The effect of which will be to introduce the following:

Prohibition of Driving & Clearway:

  • Entire lengths of road:

    • Lindley Ave; Lowe Ave;

    • Part lengths of road:

      • Bridgewater Ave from Brook Ave to School Entrance to Brook Ave;

      • Reynolds St from Tinsley St to Kingsway St.

The Order will be effective from 6th January 2025. The restrictions are for a period of 6 weeks, between 8:30am to 5:30pm. The alternative routes will be as follows:

  • Bridgewater Ave via Kingsway St, Richmond Ave, Whitley Ave, Barrymore Ave, Mort Ave & vice versa;

  • Lindley Ave via Kingsway St, Wesley Ave, Griffths St & vice versa;

  • Reynolds St via Tinsley St, Longdin St, Grange Ave, Kingsway St;

  • Lowe Ave via Richmond Ave, Whitley Ave, Barrymore Ave & vice versa.

The restrictions are required for roadway surfacing work.

  • Hughes Ave via Honister Ave & vice versa;

  • Mortimer Ave via Alder Ln, St Austell Ct & vice versa;

  • Dorothea St via Longford St, Coldwick St, Fitzherbert St & vice versa;

  • Dudley St via Longford St, Earl St & vice versa;

  • Hale St via Longford St, Dudley St, West Ave & vice versa;

  • Honister Ave via Kirkstone Ave, Statham Ave & vice versa.

The restrictions are required for roadway surfacing works.

Yates Cl, Sankey (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Yates Cl outside property No. 6. The Order will be effective from 6th January 2025. The closure is for a period of 3 days. The alternative route is via Kingsdale Rd. The closure is required for maintenance works.

The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The Borough of Warrington (Mill House Ln, Cross Ln & Glaziers Ln, Croft) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 & 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 27th November 2024.

The effect of the Order is to introduce a 40 miles per hour speed limit on the roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice to the extent as detailed in the said Schedule, resulting in the roads specified no longer retaining their historical de-restricted classification.

The Order will be effective from 28th November 2024.

Schedule – 40MPH Speed Limit

  • Glaziers Ln – For its entire length;

  • Cross Ln – From its jct. with A574 Warrington Rd to approx. 330m west of same;

  • Mill House Ln – From approx. 178m north of Lords Ln to 360m east of Smithy Ln.

The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation (Amendment No. 67) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be as follows:

  1. The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation (Amendment No. 64) (Part 1) Order 2019 is revoked in so far as it relates to Schedule 2, Article (g) & the addition to Schedule 3 – No waiting at any time – Statham Ave (Both Sides) from its jct. with Whitbarrow Rd, for a distance of 10m, in a westerly direction.

  2. The Borough of Warrington (Traffic Management) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation (Amendment No. 64) Order 2024 is revoked in so far as it relates to the Schedule, Article (b) & the addition to Schedule 3 – No waiting at any time – Highfield Ave (South East Side) from its jct. with Liverpool Rd for a distance of 51m in a south westerly direction.

  • Fairclough St (West Side): From its junction with Clay Ln for a distance of 6m in a southerly direction.

  • Highfield Ave (South East Side): From its junction with Liverpool Rd for a distance of 44m in a south easterly direction.

  • Howley Ln (North East Side): From its junction with Farrell St for a distance of 5m in a south easterly direction.

  • Mercer St (Both Sides): From its junction with Clay Ln for a distance of 10m in a southerly direction.

  • Penny Ln (South East Side): From a point 94m south of its junction with Glazebrook Ln for a distance of 18m in a southerly direction.

  • Statham Ave, Lymm (North Side): From its junction with Whitbarrow Rd for a distance of 86m in a south westerly direction.

  • Statham Ave, Lymm (South Side): From its junction with Whitbarrow Rd for a distance of 86m in a south westerly direction.

  • Tavistock Rd (East Side): From a point 50m south of its junction with Warrington Rd for a distance of 11m in a southerly direction.

  • Tavistock Rd (West Side): From a point 50m south of its junction with Warrington Rd for a distance of 11m in a southerly direction.

  • The Weint (Both Sides): From its junction with Manchester Rd for a distance of 44m in a westerly direction through its entirety.

(c) In the 79th Schedule by the deletion of: Disabled Persons Parking Places:

  1. Collin St (South East Side):

    • The part of the south east kerb line of Collin St, extending from a point 18.5m north of its junction with Leicester St in a north easterly direction for a distance of 6.6m.

  2. Egerton St (South West Side):

    • The part of the south west side of Egerton St, extending from a point 74m south east of its junction with Ellesmere Rd, in a south easterly direction for a distance of 6.6m.

  3. Oldham St (South West Side):

    • The part of the south west side of Oldham St, extending from a point 6.6m south east of Shrewsbury St, in a south easterly direction for a distance of 5.4m.

  4. Grange Ave (North East Side):

    • The part of the north east side of Grange Ave, extending from a point 56m north west of its junction with Reynolds St, in a north westerly direction for a distance of 6.6m.

(d) In the 79th Schedule by the addition of: Disabled Persons Parking Places:

  1. Collin St (South East Side):

    • The part of the south east kerb line of Collin St, extending from a point 21.5m north of its junction with Leicester St, in a north easterly direction for a distance of 6.6m.

  2. Collin St (South East Side):

    • The part of the south east kerb line of Collin St, extending from a point 24m north of its junction with Leicester St, in a north easterly direction for a distance of 6.6m.

(e) In the 93rd Schedule by the addition of: No stopping on school entrance markings (between the hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday):

  1. Admirals Rd (North West Side):

    • From a point 22.8m north east of its junction with Mallard Ln in a north easterly direction for a distance of 25.56m.

  2. Admirals Rd (North West Side):

    • From a point 82.96m north east of its junction with Mallard Ln in a north easterly direction for a distance of 31.56m.
