Rutland County Council District Council (‘the Council’) has powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) to make traffic regulation orders affecting the adopted highway within the County of Rutland.
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council has made an order entitled the Rutland County Council District Council (Temporary Diversion of Vehicular Traffic) Station Road Parish of Ketton CP Order 2025 as the Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
The effect of the order is that during the dates and times specified below all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the length of road known as Station Road Level Crossing to allow Network Rail to carry out surfacing and marking works.
The duration of the Closure shall be for a maximum period of six months from 18th January 2025 or until the works are completed.
It is anticipated the works will take 2 days. The closure shall come into force when the appropriate signs and diversion route are erected on site.
The duration of the Closure shall be as follows: from 18th January 2025 at 21.00 until 19th January at 13.00 and 19th January 21.00 until 20th January 2025 at 06.30.
The alternative route during the closure will be via the route shown on the attached plan and as shown on https://one.network
The alternative route during the closure will be via the following streets: Geeston Road, Ketton Road, Main Road, Stamford Road, A43 Stamford Road, Leicester Road, Peterborough Road, Wireless Hill, Foster's Bridge, Luffenham Road, Church Road and Station Road with a reciprocal route.
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
