What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: C8 (Part), Wilcot, Huish and Oare; from its junction with C264 to its junction with Canal Close to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun and associated works. Alternative route via C8 (unaffected length) – C52 – A345 – C264 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 02 December 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 until 13 December 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, CHIRTON)

(20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Chirton: C51 Patney Road – from its junction with Park View for a distance of 28 metres in a northerly direction; C51 The Hollow, C51 The Street, Conock, Miller Close, Park View, Thumwood Terrace, Yew Tree Close – the complete lengths; C241 Small Street – from its junction with C51 The Street for a distance of 266 metres in an easterly direction.

Deposit copies of the Order, plan and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Devizes Library, Sheep Street, SN10 1DL during the hours of 9.30am to 7pm Monday and Thursday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm Wednesday and 9.30am to 4pm Saturday until 23 December 2024.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (MALMESBURY AND MALMESBURY WITHOUT) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2017 (AMENDMENT NO.7) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to amend the restrictions in the Malmesbury and Malmesbury Without Consolidation Order 2017, to revoke Map Schedule No. BA44 dated 16 March 2020 and replace it with the insertion of revised Map Schedule No. BA44 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at any time on Sir Bernard Lovell Road – both sides – the turning head at its northernmost point for a distance of 30 metres in a south easterly direction.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (C18 FREES AVENUE AND HYDE LANE, MARLBOROUGH)

(40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke The County of Wiltshire (C18 Frees Avenue and Hyde Lane, Marlborough) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2015 and re-enact it in the above Order for administrative purposes and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on C18 Frees Avenue, Marlborough – from a point 525 metres north west of its junction with The Common to a point 40 metres north west of the access to Marlborough Cemetery.
