Lowestoft - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U9078 WILSON ROAD
AND U9077 PAKEFIELD STREET, LOWESTOFT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U9078 Wilson Road, Lowestoft from Kendral Road to Pakefield Street and the U9077 Pakefield Street, Lowestoft from Wilson Road to All Saints Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be All Saints Road, Morton Road, Kendal Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/12/2024 -10/12/2024 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1144 ST PETERS STREET, LOWESTOFT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1144 St Peters Street, Lowestoft from 1 metre west or the junction with Burton Street for 23 metres westbound to facilitate excavation of temporary reinstatement and replace with permanent material. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A47, the A12, the A1117, the A146, the A1144 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 09/12/2024 - 10/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
