What is happening?

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14 The County Of Devon (Temporary Restriction)

(Main Road, Salcombe)
Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 6/1/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 24/2/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: Main Road, Salcombe

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Devon Road, Knowle Road, Onslow Road & Vice Versa.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: road closure required to safely enable the replacement & upgrade of old metallic gas mains to new plastic mains due to location of main & excavations required.

Roads affected: Fore Street & Station Road, Totnes

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - Station Road, Coronationa Road.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: road closure & parking suspension on fore street from junction of station road to junction of coronation road, required to enable completion of phase three/final phase of gas mains replacement & upgrade works in town centre. One way restriction on station road to be removed to allow two way traffic.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: install new connection - new home on back lane needs storm & foul drainage connected to sww mains.

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 6/1/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 17/1/25. Between the hours of 18:00 & 06:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: Road From St Anns Chapel Cross To Bigbury Green Cross, Bigbury. 

There is no alternative route.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: 2 joint holes in tarmac road & 13m trenching in tarmac road for link box replacement/installation - with excavation. works to be undertaken from 18:00- 06:00 hours only. barriers will be in road but access will be avaiable daytimes. works dates are 06/01/2025 - 17/01/2025 to coincide with nearby hotels being closed.
