What is happening?

The Metropolitan Borough Council  Of Stockport 

(Woodlands Drive And Offerton Lane, Offerton) (Prohibition Of Waiting) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 28 November 2024 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which will come into operation on the 16 January 2024.The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time Woodlands Drive, both Sides From the intersection of the north eastern projected kerb line of Offerton Lane for a distance of 15 metres in a north easterly direction. 

Offerton Lane, North Eastern Side From a point 24 metres north west of the intersection of the north western projected kerb line of Woodlands Drive to a point 17 metres south east of the south eastern projected kerb line of Woodlands Drive.. A copy of the Order and plan, can be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
