Notice Of Making Of Temporary Traffic Order For Planned Works Affecting: (Bus Lane Suspension Only) Uxbridge Road, West Ealing.
Ealing Council has made the following temporary traffic order under sections 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 :
Title of order
This order can be referred to as : Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4460 Uxbridge Road (bus lane suspension only), West Ealing - 2024.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve OCU Group on behalf of (SSE) Scottish & Southern Energy making a new customer connection.
Effect of order
1. The Order will suspend the westbound bus lane in Uxbridge Road, West Ealing from the junction of Dane Road to a point outside property number 147 Uxbridge Road (80 metres in total) from 23rd November until 6th December 2024 so that all vehicles can use it.
2. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 23rd November 2024.
3. Whilst the suspension is in force no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load or unload a vehicle in the bus lane area.
4. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
5. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.
6. This Order does not apply to :
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force. 23rd November 2025
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 22nd May 2026 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 6th December 2024, whichever is sooner.
