What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1081 ST ALBANS ROAD, SOUTH MIMMS/BARNET) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1081 St Albans Road, South Mimms/Barnet from its junction with the A1(M) (junction 1)/the M25 (junction 23) roundabout south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the Dancers Hill Road/Trotters Bottom roundabout, a distance of approximately 1346m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1 Barnet Bypass Road, Galley Lane and Trotters Bottom or via Trotters Bottom, Galley Lane, A1 Barnet Bypass Road, A5135 Rowley Lane and A1 Barnet Bypass Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (CROSSOAKS LANE AND DEEVES HALL LANE, RIDGE) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Crossoaks Lane and Deeves Hall Lane, Ridge as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 27 November 2024 during office hours, at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Hertsmerre and looking at Ref: H00424.

General enquiries relating to the proposals should be referred to the Highways Engineer concerned Richard Burnett tel: 0300 123 4047 or richard.burnett@hertfordshire.gov.uk. Objections or other representations to the proposals should be made in writing to tro.team@hertfordshire.gov.uk or TRO Services Team, Postal Point (CH0242), Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST by 18 December 2024 stating the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE:

No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Parts of Crossoaks Lane and Deeves Hall Lane.

A copy of the proposed Orders may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
