A606 Melton Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving And Temporary Speed Limit For Resurfacing Works

(A606 Melton Road, Hickling Pastures) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving And Temporary Speed Limit) Order 2024 (R24-278)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Hickling Pastures in the Borough of Rushcliffe. The effects of the Order will be :
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. A606 Old London Road, Hickling Pastures - From its junction with A606 Roundabout (A46t -A606), to its junction with Bridegate Lane.
2. No vehicle shall proceed at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour in the following length of road.
a. A606 Old London Road, Hickling Pastures - From its junction with A606 Roundabout (A46t -A606), to its junction with Bridegate Lane.
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 19:00 Hours, Wednesday 4th December 2024 Until 05:00 Hours, Wednesday 18th December 2024
And notice is hereby further given that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: a. Main Road, Upper Broughton - Melton Road, Upper Broughton - Nottingham Road, Nether Broughton - Main Road, Nether Broughton - Melton Road, Nether Broughton - Nottingham Road, Ab Kettleby - Six Hills Road - Six Hills Lane - A46 and Vice Versa
The Order will come into force on Wednesday 4th December 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable HML UK Construction to carry out Resurfacing Works.
