Wawne View Housing Development 20mph Speed Limit Zone Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council on the 25th November 2024 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 2nd December 2024.

The effect of the Order is to introduce a 20 mph speed limit zone to the new roads on the Wawne View Housing Development, north of Ings Road between Wawne Road and Kesteven Way. These roads are designed to satisfy the requirements for a 20mph speed limit zone. To ensure that vehicle speeds are consistent with the traffic calmed residential streets, it is proposed to make the whole area into a 20mph speed limit zone. The existing 20mph zone on Wawne Road is also to be extended northwards to a point north of the junction with Kirchin Way. Larkin Lane is also included in the 20mph zone Order.

A copy of the Order and relevant map may be examined during normal office hours at the Reception and Enquiries Office, The Guildhall, The Kingston upon Hull, reference JGO/39800-1501.

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the 25th November 2024, apply to the High court for this purpose.
