Penn Road - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(PENN ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Penn Road
(inbound) between its junction with Stourbridge Road to its
junction with Pinfold Lane.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the works will be
undertaken on 1 December 2024 and again on
8 December 2024, between the hours of 08:00 and 14:00.
The diversion route is: Stourbridge Road, Wodehouse
Lane, Gospel End Road, Gospel End Street, High Street,
Wolverhampton Road, Wolverhampton Road East and
Goldthorn Hill.
The Order is required to facilitate CW lining works following
the previous surface treatment works.
