What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE A47 TRUNK ROAD (WISBECH, CAMBRIDGESHIRE TO KING’S LYNN, NORFOLK) (50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202_

National Highways Limited(a) gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under section 84(1)(a) and (2) of, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on lengths of the A47 Trunk Road (“the A47”) in the County of Norfolk. The effect of the Order would be to impose on the A47 between Wisbech in Cambridgeshire and King’s Lynn in Norfolk, a speed limit of 50 miles per hour, on the –

• eastbound and westbound carriageways between their junctions with the eastern side of Wisbech Roundabout and the northern side of Lynn Road Roundabout, including the circulatory carriageway of Lynn Road Roundabout, a total distance of 4800m, and

• eastbound and westbound carriageways between their junctions with the western side of Shoreboat Roundabout and the southern side of Pullover Roundabout, including the circulatory carriageway of Shoreboat Roundabout, a total distance of 3720m.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a location plan and a statement of National Highways reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected between 29 November and 20 December 2024 at King’s Lynn Library, London Road, King’s Lynn PE30 5EZ or Wisbech Town Council, 1 N Brink, Wisbech PE13 1JR, or obtained by application to National Highways, Operations Division, Orders Section, Woodlands, Manton Lane, Bedford, MK41 7LW or by e-mailing OpsEastOrders@nationahighways.co.uk.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to National Highways Limited at the address below, stating the reasons for the objection, no later than 20 December 2024 or within 3 weeks of this publication, whichever is the latest.
