Shropshire - Various Road Traffic Restrictions

SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL      

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S –      

PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING      

         
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted
horse riders unless stated below.  The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.         
 The Order/s came into force on 2nd December 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier.  However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B5026, Irelands Cross to Dorrington, Woore
Date & Duration: 8th December 2024 for 6 days
Purpose: Road Closure - As and when signs indicating the restriction are displayed and to enable overnight fibre broadband installation and development civils works required.
Alternative Route : A51, Willoughbridge Lane, B4026

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Castle Street, Clun
Date & Duration: 8th December 2024 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent water-Bbox Renew 25mm add Meter
Alternative Route : A488, B4385, B4368

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Dinham, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 8th December 2024 from 08:00 to 06:00 9th December 2024
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Small Washout Install
Alternative Route : Middlewood Road, Whitcliffe Road, B4361 Ludford bridge, Temeside, Old Street, King Street, High Street, Castle Street

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Gyrn Road, Selattyn
Date & Duration: 3rd December 2024 for 3 days between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Tree Felling Alternative Route : B4579, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Little Ness Road, Little Ness
Date & Duration: 3rd December 2024 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, new water connection.
Alternative Route : Little Ness Road, B4397, B5067, Milford Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road, Plaish (Plaish Bridge)
Date & Duration: 2nd December 2024 between 08:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Repair impact damage to the downstream parapet. Repair area of displacement/arch ring separation to the upstream arch Re-point downstream parapet. Re-point upstream training wall.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South, Unnamed road North West towards Plaish

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Monkhopton to Bourton at Beacon Hill No.1 Bridge
Date & Duration: 3rd December 2024 between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Remove overhanging tree to upstream end and large tree at downstream end. Reset downstream right hand side coping stone.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South, Unnamed road East through Prescott, Unnamed road North, Station Road

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Turfmoor and Ponthen, Melverley
Date & Duration: 5th December 2024 for 8 days
Purpose: Replace damaged drainage pipe
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road North West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Longnor and Enchmarch
Date & Duration: 2nd December 2024 for 2 days between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Patching and ditching works
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road South and South East through Comley, Unnamed road North East through Enchmarch, Unnamed road North West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Wistanswick and Stoke on Tern
Date & Duration: 4th December 2024 for 3 days between 09:30 to 14:45
Purpose: Reinstate verge following RTC.
Alternative Route : Rosehill Road, A41, Unnamed road West

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Shrewsbury Road, Cockshutt
Date & Duration: 8th December 2024 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Replace manhole frame and cover
Alternative Route : A495, A525, A41, A49, A5124, A528

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using The Hurst, Cleobury Mortimer
Date & Duration: 8th December 2024 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Replace defective cover and frame
Alternative Route : Love Lane, Childe Road, A4117, Ronhill Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Tregarthen Lane, Pant
Date & Duration: 2nd December 2024 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Small Sluice Valve Re-pack
Alternative Route : A483, Briggs Lane

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Ticklerton and Hatton
Date & Duration: 3rd December 2024 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water-Reinstatement to damaged area
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South East towards Ticklerton, Unnamed road South, Unnamed West towards Birtley, Unnamed road North East

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Whittington Level Crossing, Whittington
Date & Duration: 8th December 2024 from 22:00 to 04:00 9th December 2024
Purpose: Road Closure - Signal and Telecoms Maintenance
Alternative Route : A5, B5009

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from Parking, Waiting and Loading on High Street (Back Lane to Wilmore Street), Wilmore Street, Barrow Street (High Street to St. Mary's Road), Bull Ring (Wilmore St to Wenlock Priory Car Park), King Street (Queen Street to High Street) and Sheinton Street (Queen Street to New Road), Much Wenlock
Date & Duration: 7th December 2024 between 05:30 to 18:00
Purpose: Much Wenlock Christmas Fayre
Alternative Route : Not applicable
