What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Various Roads, Various Towns) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (M24-219)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield, Warsop Vale, Meden Vale and Mansfield Woodhouse in the District of Mansfield.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road. 

a. Baggaley Crescent, Mansfield - For its entire length.

b. Ossington Close, Mansfield - For its entire length

c. Kingsway Mansfield - From its junction with Clipstone Road West, to its junction with Main Avenue.

d. Sandpiper Place, Mansfield - For its entire length.

e. East Street, Warsop Vale - From its junction with Avocet Place, to its junction with Sandpiper Place.

f. Egmanton Road, Meden Vale - From its junction with Ossington Close, for as distance of 70 metres in an Easterly direction

g. Lime Tree Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse - From its junction with The Green to its junction with Shakespeare Avenue.

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: 
From 07:30 Hours, Monday 2nd December 2024 Until 17:00 Hours, Friday 14th March 2025

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:

c. Main Avenue - Clipstone Road West and Vice Versa

e. Greenshank Road - West Street - Hewett Street and Vice Versa

g. The Green Lime Tree Avenue and Vice Versa The Order will come into force on Monday 2nd December 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.

The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months)

The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out New connection work and any other associated works
