What is happening?
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF U43207 ASHMEAD DRIVE (GOTHERINGTON PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the U43207 Ashmead Drive, from outside the property known as ‘Westfields’ to the access at the New Development, for a total distance of approximately 50 metres.
The reason for the said intended closure is for road surfacing works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 16th December 2024 until 20th December 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400871 – A435 TO GREEN HATCH FARM ROAD (COWLEY PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400871 - A435 to Green Hatch Farm Road, from outside the property known as ‘Rectory Cottage’ to outside the property known as ‘Westerleigh Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 77 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by National Grid.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL COMMONS REGISTRATION AUTHORITY FORM 45 COMMONS ACT 2006—SECTION 15(1)
Notice of an application for the registration of land as a Town or Village Green To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern.
Application has been made to the Registration Authority, Gloucestershire County Council, Assistant Director of Legal Services, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG by the Parish Clerk, Highnam Parish Council, under section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007. The application seeks the inclusion in the register of town and village greens of the land described in the Schedule below which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green based on at least 20 years continuous use prior to the date of the Application on 27th October 2023 by virtue of:
1. The Land has been used by the inhabitants of the locality of the Gloucester City Council Parish of Highnam for more than 20 years; and
2. Permission to perform these activities has never been sought or denied.
The application, which includes a plan of the land proposed for registration, may be inspected at the following offices during normal opening hours:
1. Main Reception, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG.
2. Gloucester City Council Reception @ The Gateway Council, 92 Westgate St, Gloucester GL1 2PE
3. Highnam Parish Council - clerk’s office is in the Old School, Highman, Gloucester

If the registration authority is satisfied that the land described below qualifies for registration as a town or village green, it will so register the land.

Any representations that are to be taken into account by the Authority in reaching a decision on the application cannot be treated as confidential and will be copied to the applicant for comment and may be disclosed to other interested parties.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY EDH19 (DOWN HATHERLEY PARISH) TEWKESBURY BOROUGH
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order, to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Bridleway EDH 19 in the Parish of Down Hatherley, from a point approximately 320 metres south of Brook Lane in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 70 metres to its junction with a watercourse.
The said bridleway falls within Down Hatherley Parish in the Tewkesbury Borough, within the County of Gloucestershire.
The said closure is necessary to safeguard the public during the construction of a development.
The Order came into force on the 5th December 2022 for a period of six months. However, as works were not completed, the Secretary of State granted an extension of the Order until 5th December 2024. Works are still not completed and therefore the Secretary of State has now granted a further extension until 5th June 2026, or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
