What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTION OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES)
STROUD DISTRICT & GLOUCESTER CITY
Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closures is for Carriageway Resurfacing works.
There will be no stopping or waiting permitted throughout the duration of the works.
The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 2nd December 2024, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This order can permit the closure of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required, and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st March 2025. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE A419 DR NEWTONS WAY
(STROUD PARISH AND TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A419 Dr Newtons Way, from its junction with Fromeside to its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 594 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for a bridge inspection.
The said road is expected to be closed between 21:00hrs on 15th December 2024 and 05:00hrs on 16th December 2024 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE C266 SELSEY ROAD
(WOODCHESTER PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C266 Selsey Road from its junction with Beech Grove to its junction with Southfield Road for a distance of approximately 120 metres.
The reason for the closure is for safety during telecoms works.
The said road is expected to be closed between 08:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 16th December 2024 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
