Blackpool Area, Various Streets - Off Street Parking Places and Revocations Order
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH OF BLACKPOOL
(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) AND (REVOCATIONS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Blackpool Borough Council proposes to make an Order under powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to make the Borough of Blackpool (Off Street Parking Places) and (Revocations) Order 2024 (“the Proposed Order”) which provide as follows:
The Proposed Order replaces the Borough of Blackpool (Off Street Parking
Places) and (Revocations) order 2017 and Borough of Blackpool (Off Street
Parking Places) and (Revocations) order 2014 (“the Original Orders”
The Original Orders are to be revoked.
The Proposed Order relates to the following Parking Places in the Borough:
West Street, Victory Road, Talbot Road Surface, Bispham Village, Bethesda
Square, Dickson Road, Central Multi Storey, Gynn Square, East Topping
Street, Queen Street, Talbot Road Multi Storey, Filey Place, Chapel Street
Multi Storey, Bonney Street, Central Car Park, Bolton Street, Lytham Road,
South Beach, South Car Park, Cocker Square, Cocker Street, South King
Street, Alfred Street, Bank Street, Foxhall Village, Seasiders Way, Bloomfield
Road, Lonsdale, Temple Street, Stanley Park, Albert Road, Charles Street and
Gorton Street The general effect of the Order is as follows:
a)To confirm and update the plans to which the parking order relates b)To confirm and update opening hours and charging times re off street parking places c)To confirm and update the use of virtual parking tickets on off street
parking places d)To confirm and update the use of permits including the use of virtual permits on various parking places as outlined in the Schedules to the Proposed Order e)Technical changes to the order to update payment methods available in car parks f) Changes to the Interpretation and Definitions to definitions for introduce electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, mobile parking payment scheme, parent and child parking bay, electric vehicle charging place, electric vehicle charging point, virtual permit, virtual season ticket and virtual season ticket into the Proposed Order
A copy of the Proposed Order, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for
proposing to make the Proposed Order may be inspected at Customer
First, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1NF. Please
telephone 01253 477477 to make an appointment to view the documents.
Any objections and representations relating to the proposed Order must be
made quoting the title of this Proposed Order before 5pm on 20 December
2024 by one of the following methods:
1. in writing stating the grounds for any objection and should be sent
to either Head of Transportation Highways, Blackpool Council, PO Box 4,
Blackpool, FY1 1NA; or
2. by email to traffic.management@blackpool.gov.uk.

public and that the substance of any representation together with the
name and address of the person making it could become available for
