Blackheath Town Centre, Sandwell - 20mph Speed Zone Area Order
What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The council proposes to make The Borough Council of Sandwell
(Blackheath Town Centre) (20mph Zone) Order 2024 to prohibit any
vehicle exceeding a speed of 20mph on the entire length of the roads listed
and as shaded on plan number 45,325 S/4: Bassano Road, Beet Street,
Birmingham Road, Halesowen Street, Long Lane, Market Place, Oldbury Road,
Park Street West & Short Street.
The council also proposes to construct speed ramps to accommodate the
proposed pedestrian crossings (zebra) and to reduce the speed of vehicles in
Blackheath Town Centre at the following locations:
