What is happening?

The Nottinghamshire County Council

(Various Locations, Mansfield Woodhouse) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (M24-220) 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Mansfield Woodhouse in the District of Mansfield The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road

a. Litton Road - From a point 35 metres North of its junction with Westbourne Close for a distance of 70 metres in a Northerly direction

b. Saffron Street - From its junction with Siena Gardens in a South Westerly direction for 35 metres

c. Fritchley Court - For its entire length

d. Warsop Road - From its junction with George Street in a North Easterly direction for 200 metres

e. Rectory Road - From a point 105 metres North from its junction with Hallifax Avenue for a distance of 35 metres in a Northerly direction

f. Crow Hill Lane - From its junction with B6032 Mansfield Road to its junction with Footpath Yeoman Hill Park 

2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road

a. Litton Road - From a point 35 metres North of its junction with Westbourne Close for a distance of 70 metres in a Northerly direction

b. Saffron Street - From its junction with Siena Gardens in a South Westerly direction for 35 metres

c. Fritchley Court - For its entire length

d. Warsop Road - From its junction with George Street in a North Easterly direction for 200 metres

e. Rectory Road - From a point 105 metres North from its junction with Hallifax Avenue for a distance of 35 metres in a Northerly direction 

f. Crow Hill Lane - From its junction with B6032 Mansfield Road to its junction with Footpath Yeoman Hill Park 

g. Fernleigh Rise - From a point 25 metres North West from its junction with Larkspur Close for a distance of 10 metres in a North Westerly direction 

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place. 

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows : 

From 07:30 hours Monday 2nd December 2024 Until 17:00 hours Friday 28th February 2024 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be : 

a. Litton Road - Litton Road - Peafield Lane (A6075) - Litton road and vice versa 

b. Saffron Street - Safforon Street - Sienna Gardens and vice versa

c. Fritchley Court - No diversion route available

d. Warsop Road - Warsop Road - Welbeck Road (A6075) - Church Hill - Butt Lane - Leeming Lane South (A60) and vice versa

e. Rectory Road - No diversion route available

f. Crow Hill Lane - Mansfield Road (B6032) - Morven Avenue and vice versa

g. Fernleigh Rise - N/A. No waiting, loading and unloading restriction only

The Order will come into force on 2nd December 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out exaction and bioswale works.
