Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures for Utility and Maintenance Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C654 MOULTON ROAD, GAZELEY
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C654 Moulton Road, Gazeley from 120 metres west of the junction with Mill Road for 80 metres westbound to facilitate a new electricity supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1085, Bury Road, Gazeley Road, Mill Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 25/11/2024 - 28/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6214 OLD BURY ROAD, LACKFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6214 Old Bury Road, Lackford from the junction with Holden Road for 40 metres eastbound to facilitate disconnection of underground cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Old Bury Road, the A1101 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 25/11/2024 - 29/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8221 NEWMANS LANE, ACTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8221 Newmans Lane, Acton from Studio Cottage for 30 metres westbound to facilitate water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Newmans Green, Acton Lane, the A134 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 25/11/2024 from 8am until 1pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7064 VARIOUS ROADS, DEPDEN
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:
- U7064 Church End, Depden
- U7064 The Green, Depden from Church End to Hall Close
- U7064 Road from the A143 to the C659, Depden
This is to facilitate pre-surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Ashfield Green, Wickhambrook Road, Chevington Road, Hargrave, Hargrave Road, Chedburgh Road, Chevington Road, Chedburgh, The Street, The Green, A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 25/11/2024 - 28/11/2024 from 8am - 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1077 The Green, Ashbocking to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the B1078, the B1079, the B1077 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 25/11/2024 - 06/11/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C642 Low Street, Bardwell from 160 metres south of the junction with Knox Lane for 50 metres southbound to facilitate the excavation and repair of a rodding eye cover. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Stanton Road, Bardwell Road, the A143, the A1088 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 04/12/2024 - 6am on 05/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4315 Bacons Green, Holton St Mary from no. 1 to no. 4 to facilitate drainage maintenance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Noaks Road, the B1070, Bacons Green and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 25/11/2024 from 9am - 3pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U1630 NORTH ROAD AND MARLBOROUGH ROAD, SOUTHWOLD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
- U1630 North Road, Southwold from the junction with Mights Road to the junction with Marlborough Road.
- U1630 Marlborough Road, Southwold from the junction with North Road to Field Stile Road.
This is to facilitate gas main replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- Mights Road, Pier Avenue, St Edmunds Road and vice versa.
- Field Stile Road, North Parade, Pier Avenue and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/11/2024 - 20/01/2025 but will be open from 23/12/2024 - 06/01/2024.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4815 HENNIKER ROAD AND GREAT BACK LANE, DEBENHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
- U4815 Henniker Road, Debenham from the junction with Gracechurch Street for 35 metres north eastbound
- U4815 Great Back Lane, Debenham from no. 37 for 30 metres southbound.
This is to facilitate repair of sluice valve and stop tap replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Henniker Road, Great Back Lane, Gracechurch Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
- 25/11/2024 - 26/11/2024
- 27/11/2024 - 28/11/2024 from 9am - 5pm.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate on 04/12/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/12/2024 - 10/12/2024 from 8pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
