Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
BELTON WITH BROWSTON – The footpath from its junction with Fern Gardens for 120m south- eastwards to facilitate installation of a new fibre network from 2nd to 20th December 2024 (may continue until 31st January 2025). Alternative route is via: Fern Gardens.
GREAT YARMOUTH – Bermondsey Place South from its junction with Bermondsey Place East for 30m eastwards to facilitate Openreach access to a chamber in the carriageway from 2nd to 4th December 2024 (may continue until 15th January 2025). GREAT YARMOUTH – Wellesley Road from its junction with Paget Road for 60m northwards to facilitate the clearing of blockages on behalf of Openreach from 5th to 6th December 2024 (may continue until 17th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Wellesley Road, Paget Road, Euston Road.
HICKLING – Calthorpe Street from its junction with Sydney Street to its junction with Sea Palling Road to facilitate drainage works from 2nd to 3rd December 2024 (may continue until 14th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Calthorpe Street, Mill Road, Sea Palling Road, Stalham Road, Hickling Lane, Whinmere Road (Ingham, Hickling, Sea Palling).
HORNING – Lower Street/School from its junction with Ferry Road for 80m eastwards and 50m westwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council drainage works from 2nd to 13th December 2024 (may continue until the 24th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Lower Street, A1062 Ropes Hill/Norwich Road/Upper Street, Grove Road, School Road.
MELTON CONSTABLE – The track from its junction with Kitchener Road to its junction with Gordon Road to facilitate communication pipe repairs from 2nd to 4th December 2024 (may continue until 15th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Gordon Road, B1354 Briston Road, Kitchener Road.
ROLLESBY – Heath Road from 305m west of its junction with Fleggburgh Road for 15m westwards to facilitate installation of a new water connection from 2nd to 4th December 2024 (may continue until 15th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Heath Road, Repps Road, Fleggburgh Road (Rollesby, Fleggburgh).
SOUTH WALSHAM – 1) The Street from its junction with School Road for 50m north-westwards
2) Acle Road from its junction with School Road for 200m south-eastwards and 3) School Road from its junction with Acle Road for 30m north-eastwards to facilitate BT civil work from 2nd to 9th December 2024 (may continue until 20th January 2025). STALHAM – The Staithe from 155m northwest of its junction with A149 Wayford Road for 70m north westwards to facilitate repairs for a customers electricity supply on the 2nd December 2024 (may continue until 13th January 2025). Alternative route is via: The Staithe, Mill Road, Chapel Field Road, A149 Wayford Road/Yarmouth Road.
SUTTON – The Street from 135m south of its junction with New Road for 50m southwards to facilitate repairs to an Anglian Water manhole on the 3rd December 2024 (may continue until 14th January 2025). Alternative route is via: The Street, Old Yarmouth Road, Yarmouth Road, Lower Staithe Road, Old Market Road, A149 Yarmouth Road, Sutton Road (Stalham, Hickling, Sutton).
THORNAGE – Holt Road from its junction with Lethersingsett Road for 250m north eastwards to facilitate telegraph pole testing works between 09:30 and 13:00 on the 3rd December 2024 (may continue until 14th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Holt Road, Thornage Road, Norwich Road, Norwich Road To Holt Bypass Subway, The Green, Briston Road, Fakenham Road, Dereham Road, The Street (Edgefield, Briningham, Thornage, Corpusty and Saxthorpe, Brinton, Melton Constable, Holt, Briston, Stody).

LITCHAM – U35112 Weasenham Road from its junction with C235 Heath Road to its junction with C762 Wellingham Road/Pound Lane to facilitate Norfolk County Council carriageway patching works from 2nd to 6th December 2024 (may continue until 17th January 2025). Alternative route is via: C235 Heath Lane, C762 Wellingham Road and vice versa (Wellingham, Litcham).
MILEHAM & BEESTON WITH BITTERING – 1) C229 Reed Lane from 2137m south of its junction with C230 East Bilney Road to 260m north of its junction with U35089 Bittering Lane

PORINGLAND – B1332 Bungay Road from 150m southeast of its junction with C187 Shotesham Road for 443m south-eastwards to facilitate the construction of a new residential care village by enabling site construction traffic safe access. The Road will be temporarily subject to a 30mph speed restriction from 2nd December 2024 to 31st May 2026 (may continue until 1st June 2026). Alternative route is via: N/A.
REDENHALL WITH HARLESTON – Redenhall with Harleston Footpath 38 from its junction with U76598 Candlers Lane for 168m westwards owing to an unstable wall along the footpath from 30th November 2024 to 11th February 2025 (previously 15th to 29th November 2024, and may continue until the 14th May 2025). SHELTON AND HARDWICK – U76044 Slipshoe Lane from 153m east of its junction with C359 Manor Lane for 25m eastwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council north headwall replacement works from 2nd to 4th December 2024 (may continue until 15th January 2025). CASTLE RISING – Grimston Road from its junction with Lodge Lane for 450m westwards to facilitate carriageway works to tie new roundabout into existing carriageway between 19:00 and 06:30 from 26th to 29th November 2024 (may continue until 10th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Grimston Road, Queen Elizabeth Way, Gayton Road, Wootton Road (Castle Rising, South Wootton, Bawsey, Grimston).
HARPLEY – 1) Bircham Road from 800m northeast of its junction with Shipgate Road for 25m north eastwards and 2) Houghton Road from its junction with Bircham Road for 25m south eastwards to facilitate drainage maintenance works from 25th November to 20th December 2024 (may continue until 20th June 2025). Alternative route is via: Bircham Road, The Street, Fakenham Road, Shipgate Road (Houghton, Harpley).
PENTNEY – Pentney Lane from its junction with Pentney Road for 75m northwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council replacing gully on 26th November 2024 (may continue until 7th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Narborough Road, Pentney Lane, Pentney Road, Main Road, Pentney Restricted Byway 15, A47 From J A1122 To J B1153, A47 From J B1153 To J A10/A149 (Narborough, Pentney).
SHOULDHAM – Warren Road from its junction with Spring Lane to its junction with The Warren to facilitate Forestry England tree felling works from 25th to 29th November 2024 (may continue until 10th January 2025). Alternative route is via: The Warren.
SOUTHERY – Upgate Street from its junction with Orchard Way for 50m northwards to facilitate Anglian Water manhole repairs between 08:00 and 17:00 on 28th November 2024 (may continue until 9th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Upgate Street, Feltwell Road, Mill Lane, Churchgate Street, Westgate Street, Ferry Bank, Southery Bypass A10, Lynn Road.
TERRINGTON ST. CLEMENT – Lynn Road from 45m east of its junction with Churchgate Way for 95m eastwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council carriageway patching works from 26th to 27th November 2024 (may continue until 8th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Lynn Road, Station Road, Terrington St Clement Bypass A17, Clenchwarton Bypass A17, Main Road (Clenchwarton, Tilney All Saints, Terrington St. Clement).
WIGGENHALL ST. GERMANS – Eau Brink Road from 290m southwest of its junction with A47 for 50m south westwards to facilitate Anglian Water new connection works from 25th to 27th November 2024 (may continue until 8th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Pullover Road, Eau Brink Road, School Road, Lynn Road, High Road, High Road Roundabout, Willow Road, Saddlebow Road, A47 (Tilney All Saints, Wiggenhall St. Germans).

Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath. Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months for vehicular highway or 6 months for non-vehicular highway.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
