Lonesome Lane (D334) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lonesome Lane (D334) Reigate which extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “Lonesome Farm” to the northeastern property boundary line of “Brook Cottage”.
Alternative Route – Clockwise: Lonesome Lane (D334), Dovers Green Road (A217), Woodhatch Road (A2044), Brighton Road (A23), Lodge Lane (D335) and Lonesome Lane (D334). Anti-clockwise: Lonesome Lane (D334), Lodge Lane (D335), Brighton Road (A23), Woodhatch Road (A2044), Dovers Green Road (A217) and Lonesome Lane (D334).
This Order is required to allow Surrey County Council to carry out bridge works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 weeks, during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 November 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road in specified above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road or for preventing such danger from arising and/or preventing damage to the road.
All vehicular traffic will be required to use the
signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and residents.
Norwood Hill (D330) Charlwood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Norwood Hill (D330) Charlwood as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Ricketts Wood” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Hill View House”.
Alternative Route: Norwood Hill, Norwood Hill Road, Stan Hill, and Norwood Hill, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Walton Road (D316) Ashtead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Walton Road (D316) Ashtead.
Alternative Route: Headley Road, Tilley Lane, Clay Lane, and Hurst Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate tree cutting works for, or on behalf of J & G Traffic Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Elmore Road (C138) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Elmore Road (C138) Chipstead.
Alternative Route: High Road, Hogscross Lane, and Elmore Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Horsecroft (D1016) Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Horsecroft (D1016) Banstead.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Brickhouse Lane (D373) Lingfield and Church Lane (C72) Godstone
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023 (Revocation) Order 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to Revoke “Brickhouse Lane (D373) Lingfield and Church Lane (C72) Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” Order insofar as it affects part
(b) of the Notice which imposed the following temporary prohibition of Traffic measures: prohibited vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of that length of Church Lane (C72) Godstone as extends from its junction with (B2236) Eastbourne Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Old Pack House”.
The Revocation Order, which will come into force on 02 December 2024, is necessary because the original Order (in part) is no longer required by Surrey County Council, for the purpose of strengthening and improving bridge works.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2024
On 27 November 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing, pre-patching/patching works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 November 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of: –
1. D1166 Rockshaw Road, Redhill.
2. D1166 Ashcombe Road, Redhill.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/ or connection and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out in sections under a “rolling closure” between the hours of 7am and 6pm within 3 months of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via a designated walkway. Access for emergency services and to affected residents and businesses on Rockshaw Road and Ashcombe Road will be maintained at all times
via the alternative route: – Rockshaw Road, A23 London Road North, A23 High Street, A23 London Road South, A23 London Road, A23 Princess Way, Marketfield Way, A25 Redstone Hill, A25 Nutfield Road, A25 High Street, A25 Bletchingley Road, Big Common Lane, Pendell Road, Bletchingley Road, Warwick Wold Road and Rockshaw Road.
D1111 The Avenue, Tadworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D1111 The Avenue, Tadworth that extends from its junction with D1110 Downs Way, to its junction with B290 Station Approach.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Forefront Utilities to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connection and/ or maintenance works between “Nos. 21 and 31 The Avenue”.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 1 month of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services and to affected residents and businesses will be maintained at all times
via the alternative route: – The Avenue, Station Approach and The Avenue.
D1252 Holmesdale Road, Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, and unloading at any time on both sides of the length of D1252 Holmesdale Road, Reigate that extends from its junction with A242 Croydon Road, to the north-eastern property boundary of “Sherwood House”.
Note: – The parking bays in the length of D1252 Holmesdale Road, Reigate described above will be suspended.
This Traffic Order is required by Surrey County Council to enable Neilcott Construction Limited to carry out civil engineering works, providing temporary access for construction vehicles in association with Reigate fire station redevelopment works and/or highway improvements and/ or resurfacing and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 6pm within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary waiting restrictions which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Exemptions for any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency, any vehicle being used in connection with the works vehicles, any vehicle when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control, and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer, will apply when the temporary waiting restrictions are in force.
(N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
C64 Victoria Road, Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, and unloading at any time on both sides of the length of C64 Victoria Road, Horley that extends from its junction with D566 Victoria Close, to the western side of its junction with the access for “Victoria Road Pay and Display Carpark”.
This Traffic Order is required by Highway Safety Management to enable surveying works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 5am within 1 week of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 January 2025.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary waiting restrictions which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of B2209 Old London Road, Mickleham that extends from its junction with A24 Mickleham By-Pass and its northern junction with A24 London Road, to its junction with the eastern side of the circulatory carriageway comprised in the roundabout (known as the “Burford Bridge Roundabout”).
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out installation of speed limit signs and roundels and/or maintenance and/or highway works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 1am and 5am, within 1 week of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – A24 Mickleham By-Pass and A24 London Road (the “Burford Bridge Roundabout”).

Station Road (D349) Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (D349) Horley as extends from its junction with (D349) St Georges Close and for a distance of 70 metres in a north easterly direction.
Alternative Route: (B2036) Balcombe Road, Victoria Road, and Station Approach, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate crane operation works for, or on behalf of Network Rail.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 nights, between the hours of 11pm and 6am during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure for residents and businesses, and they will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
C54 Brockham Lane, Brockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C54 Brockham Lane, Brockham which extends from its junction with A25 Reigate Road to its junction with X54 Access to 12 – 20 Brockham Lane.
This Order is required to enable SES Water to facilitate water connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 7.30am and 5pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access
by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained and if
necessary via the diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians and/or other traffic proceeding on foot or by any means from entering or proceeding in that length of T10079 Townpath – Shipfield Close, Tatsfield which extends from the northern property boundary of No.5 and the southern property boundary line of No.5.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate patching works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 December 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of access to any premises will be affected.
There is no diversion available for this closure.
