Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in D25 Benner Lane, West End
Notice is hereby given that Surrey County Council, in exercise of their powers under Section 90(A) to (I) inclusive of the Highways Act 1980, propose to introduce a series of physical measures to improve safety and reduce vehicle speeds in in D25 Benner Lane, West End, as follows:-
A) A pair of speed cushions, the centre of which are to be located at a point 2.85m north-west of the north-eastern junction bellmouth of D6602 Great Barn Crescent.
B) A pair of speed cushions, the centre of which are to be located at a point 29.00m south-east of the centre of its junction with D501 Malthouse Lane.
C) A pair of speed cushions, the centre of which are to be located at a point 8.00m south-east of the property boundary between “Nos.59 and 61 Benner Lane”.
D) A pair of speed cushions, the centre of which are to be located at a point 21.3m south-east of the centre of its junction with D6602 Great Barn Crescent.
E) A pair of speed cushions, the centre of which are to be located at a point 1.50m south-east of the property boundary between “Nos.19 and 21 Benner Lane”.
F) A pair of speed cushions, the centre of which are to be located at a point 5.25m south-west of the property boundary between “Nos.16 Benner Lane and 18 Benner Lane”.
G) A pair of speed cushions, the centre of which are to be located at a point centre 26.50m north-east of the centre of the junction with D501 Jenner Drive.
The proposed speed cushions will each be 75mm in height, 1.8m in width, 3.5m in length, the main ramps will be 0.6m in length with a gradient of 1:8, and the side ramps will be 0.3m in length with a gradient of 1:4.

3. Reception, Surrey County Council, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. If you wish to object to or make representations relating to any aspect of the above proposals you must send them in writing, stating the grounds on which they are made either by
a) using the online form via the webpage quoted above; or b) to the undersigned, at Traffic Regulation Orders Team, Hazel House, Merrow Lane, Guildford, Surrey, GU4 7BQ, by 07 January 2025.
Proposed Provision of a Raised Zebra Crossing in D25 Benner Lane, West End
Notice is hereby given that Surrey County Council, in exercise of their powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Section 90(A) to (I) inclusive of the Highways Act 1980, and after consultation with the Chief Office of Police in accordance with Section 23(2)A) of the said Act of 1984, propose to introduce a flat-topped road table and raised zebra crossing on D25 Benner Lane, West End as follows:-
The proposed road table will extend across the full width of the carriageway, be 75mm in height, with a 5.9m flat top and 1.5m ramps with a gradient of 1:20, the centre is to be located 0.14m south-east of the property boundary between “Nos. 33 and 35 Benner Lane”.
The proposed zebra crossing will be centred at the property boundary of “Nos. 33 and 35 Benner Lane and extend across the full 6.45m width of the carriageway, the width between studs of the crossing will be 3.2m.

Various Roads in West End (20MPH Speed Limit) Order 202-
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-named Order, under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to impose a maximum speed limit of 20 miles per hour on the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. The speed limit proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011. A copy of this Notice together with a plan showing the lengths of road to which this Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be viewed online at www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/policies-plans-consultations/roads-and-transportconsultations. These documents and a copy of the proposed Order may also be viewed at:
