Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -The Isle of Wight Council (Main Road, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 02 December 2024, and Wednesday 04 December 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Main Road, Brighstone, from its junction with Rectory Lane, and its junction with St Marys Court. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during drainage CCTV survey works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Godshill Road, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 4 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 02 December 2024, and Saturday 07 December 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Godshill Road, Whitwell, from its junction with Southford Lane, and its junction with Roud Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during lining works.

The Isle of Wight Council (St Thomas Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 5 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Wednesday 04 December 2024, and Thursday 05 December 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along St Thomas Street, Ryde, from its junction with St Thomas Slip, and its junction with Western Esplanade. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 02 December 2024, until 1800 hours on Friday 06 December 2024 or when the works have been completed a) Manor Road will be restricted in a north bound direction from Newport Road for 10 meters and b) Lamorbey Road will be restricted in a South bound direction from Newport Road for 10 meters. The restriction is required for safety during utility Works.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 29 November 2024 and Friday 3 January 2025 the following roads will be closed at all hours for a period of approximately 2 weeks within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable footway resurfacing works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme:

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1000 hours until 2100 hours on Friday 29 November 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Fort Warden Road between its junctions with Colwell Common Road and Colwell Road. The closure is required for safety during Totland's Christmas Market and Lantern Parade. The diversion will be signposted locally.
The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting at Any Time) Order No 4 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1630 hours until 2000 hours on Friday 06 December 2024, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, 1) no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; Dover Street, Park Road, Star Street, High Street, Union Street and Esplanade between its junctions with Union Street and St Thomas Street. 2) No person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to wait along Dover Street on either side for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required as a result of a Collapsed wall.
