ST MICHAELS ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH - PARKING SUSPENSION TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT AND WHERE

St Michaels Road: Southern side from its junction with West Cliff Promenade there will be parking bay suspension - no parking, no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time for a distance of approx. 93m

St Michaels Road: Northern side from outside the property boundary of No.139 West Hill Road there will be no parking, no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time for a distance of approx. 44m

St Michaels Road: Northern side from the junction with West Cliff Promenade the parking bays to be used for disabled parking only for a distance of approx. 32m

WHEN: Anticipated dates, 4th December 2024 until 3rd June 2026

WHY: BCP have suspended parking due to safety reasons following recent signs of cliff movement

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained and access to properties will remain depending on site safety.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State. The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
