ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6710 EASTERN AVENUE, HAVERHILL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6710 Eastern Avenue. Haverhill from Beech Grove to Ash Grove to facilitate parking of materials and equipment to allow carriageway resurfacing along Elm Close and Chestnut Close. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Eastern Avenue, Withersfleld Road, Crowland Road, Castle Lane, Eastern Avenue and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/11/2024 - 26/11/2024 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON PART OF THE U460O CLARKSON STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the 114600 Clarkson Street, Ipswich from Norwich Road to no. 4 to facilitate a new gas connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Norwich Road, Granville Street and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the U4600 Clarkson Street, Ipswich to allow access and egress. It is intended that these measures will operate from 03/12/2024 - 05/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U8802 LANDSDOWN ROAD, SUDBURY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8802 Landsdown Road, Sudbury to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period; Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Park Road, the B1115 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8702 GREGORY STREET AND WALNUT TREE LANE, SUDBURY

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • the U8702 Gregory Street, Sudbury
  • the U8702 Walnut Tree Lane, Sudbury from the A131 to Simon Theobald Close. This is to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A131, Walnut Tree Lane and no vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2511 BRUISYARD ROAD, RENDHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2511 Bruisyard Road, Rendham from the junction with Chapel Road for 120 metres eastbound to facilitate electrical cables and road crossing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will oe open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1119, Bruisyard Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3029 KINGSGATE DRIVE, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3029 Kingsgate Drive, Ipswich from Colchester Service Road to Lancing Avenue to facilitate new crossing points. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1214, Sidegate Lane, Whitby Road, Brunswick Road, Kingsgate Drive and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE U2535 TENNYSON ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS

The diversion route will be Prince Charles Avenue, Derwent Road, Lake Avenue and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C769 THE BATTUES, ROUGHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C769 The Battlies, Rougham to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Rougham Tower Avenue, Rougham, Lady Miriam Way, Bury St Edmunds, Mount Road, Rougham and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C561 CHURCH ROAD, TOSTOCK

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C561 Church Road, Tostock to facilitate surface dressing patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Norton Road, Hollow Lane, Great Green, the road from the AS1088 to Thurston, the A1088 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 07/11/2024 from 8pm - 5am. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1120 The Street, Earl Soham from the junction with Roman Road to the junction with Brandeston Road to facilitate drainage improvement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1120, the A12, the A1145, the A146, the A143, the A140 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 03/12/2024 - 11/12/2024 from 8am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1122 ALDEBURGH ROAD AND HIGH STREET, LEISTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • B1122 Aldeburgh Road, Leiston from Red House Lane to Kings Road
  • B1122 High Street, Leiston from Sizewell Road to Kings Road.

This is to facilitate a new zebra crossing and carriageway resurfacing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1122, the B1069, the B1353, the B1122 and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 02/12/2024 - 17/12/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3126 QUILTER ROAD, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3126 Quilter Road, Felixstowe from the junction with Brook Lane to the junction with Barton Road to facilitate telecommunications fibre installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Brook Lane, High Road East, Hamilton Road, Cobbold Road, Constable Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C904 YARMOUTH ROAD AND C9D2 BORDER LANE, LOUND

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • C904 Yarmouth Road, Lound from the junction with Border Lane for 30 metres northbound and 30 metres westbound
  • C902 Border Lane, Lound from the junction with Yarmouth Road for 30 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate pole and cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Street, Flixton Road, the B1074, Beccles Road, Brownston Lane, Yarmouth Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C672 VALLEY WASH, CHIMNEY STREET AND BARNARDISTON ROAD, HUNDON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30 mph speed restriction on the following roads:

  • C672 Valley Wash, Hundon from the junction with Steeplechase for 110 metres south eastbound
  • C672 Chimney Street, Hundon from Steeplechase for 120 metres south westbound
  • C672 Bamardiston Road, Hundon from Chimney Street for 50 metres north westbound.

This is to facilitate water works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Cobbold Road, Crescent Road. Highfield Road, Orwell Road, Hamilton Road, Hamilton Gardens, Rar Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A137 CHANCERY ROAD, WEST END ROAD AND B1075 PRINCES STREET, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

  • A137 Chancery Road, Ipswich from Princes Street to West End Road
  • A137 West End Road, Ipswich from Chancery Road for 127 metres westbound
  • B1075 Princes Street, Ipswich from Burrell Road to Civic Drive.

This is to facilitate preventing disorder and safely control crowd movement during a football game. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access win be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Burrell Road, Stoke Street, Bridge Street, Greyfriars Road, Franciscan Way, Civic Drive, Handford Road, Ranelagh Road and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate on 03712/2024 from 5pm - 10pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF LAXFIELD) (WOODBRIDGE) (BICKERS HILL ROAD) (C516) (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 202-

Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above-named order for the Parish of Laxfleld, under section 14(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, this would be to introduce:

A 30 mph speed limit:

  • on (C516J Bickers Hill Road, from a point 469 metres north-east of the junction with (B1117) vicarage Road, in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 147 metres.

Copies of the draft order, maps showing the roads affected and the council's reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below from 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and also at Woodbridge Library, New Street, Woodbridge IP12 1DT Monday; 10am - 5pm, Tuesday; 9am - 6.30pm Wednesday -Thursday; 9am - 5.30pm, Friday; 9am - 7pm, Saturday; 9am - 5pm and on Sunday 10am - 4pm (excluding bank holidays and public holidays). Suffolk County Council previously consulted on this proposal from 30/05/2024 to 19/06/2024.

Any representations received during the first consultation period will be considered at (he end of this consultation period which expires on 06/12/2024. The reason for readvertising is to describe the proposal more accurately.
