Essex - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Traffic Restrictions and Road Closures due to Maintenance Works.

What is happening?

Essex County Council

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 28th November 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the Borough of Basildon as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wiggins Lane, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Tye Common Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN014M70712 - Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while valve replacement works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Tye Common Road, Frithwood Lane, First Avenue, Wiggins Lane and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Alderney Gardens, Wickford in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Swan Lane for a distance of approximately 205m in a north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

The closure and restriction are scheduled to commence on 2nd December 2024 for

1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2375698 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. The closure are required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Swan Lane, Brock Hill, Alderney Gardens and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Benfleet Road, Benfleet in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Vicarage Hill for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th December 2024 for 1 night (20:00 - 04:30), or where stated on a valid permit (MG01210714-P86754-EK1 - O2 (UK) Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while telecoms upgrade works are undertaken by O2 (UK) Limited.

An alternative route is available via London Road, Kiln Road, Bread And Cheese Hill, High Road, Vicarage Hill and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 14th November 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Chapel Court, Billericay in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Chapel Street for a distance of approximately 130m in an easterly direction.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Basildon Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Thundersley in the Borough of Castle Point, from its junction with Armstrong Road to its junction with Spencer Road a distance of approximately 345m.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Castle Point Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Florence Road, Canvey Island in the Borough of Castle Point, from a point approximately 95m north of its junction with Odessa Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd December 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WF8NG78L - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of The Gore, Basildon in the Borough of Basildon, from its junction with Broadmayne to its junction with Ghyllgrove a distance of approximately 685m.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, Not Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.
